      Wish I had the equipment to do it properly! I have another acre I could plant but its rough ground.

    If I plan an acre will that be enough for the bees to mess with or will it be a waste of time

      An acre can be very productive, especially if done well (not like mine!!!) Variety through the Spring Summer and Fall will add to nutrition of larvae. It is also immensely satisfying.

    What seed mix did you use? Did you buy one specifically or mix your own?

    All that mares tail get in there an weed it out quickly. They produce like 500k seeds per plant. In the coming years you will have nothing but mares tail if you don’t jump on it. Sadly it doesn’t respond to round up. Have to hand weed it. Looked like yours is about to or already setting seed. Good luck with the job. A grass herbicide would be helpful as well. I know I’m not sharing anything you do not already know.

      All suggestions helpful! I will take out what I can....but anything that flowers is good for the bees, "weeds" and all!
