- Welcome to wonderful Waihi! (Pronounced Why - He) This series is based on a location from New Zealand and the city is a combination of Auckland, Vancouver and a bunch of North American cities.
I'm trying to make a very realistic city with this series and intend to run this alongside Lake Hayes in CS2. The map is available from the link below as well as the theme to go with it. Please rate it if you use it! It's appreciated.
About the Map -
Waihi is a fictional place based on New Zealand. Huge alps, lush forests and spectacular blue lakes and rivers can be found in the south Island of NZ and are represented in this map. The north Island is represented by the coast lines, hidden surf spots, back sand beaches from volcanic activity and flat plains perfect for farming are just some of the things you will see in Waihi.
As well as being as realistic as possible, I would like it to function well within game. Thanks to BlueThunder for his help with the series.

I personally think that maybe splitting the lenght of the videos in half, and maybe uploading double as often might be a bit better. About the commentary, It would probably be slightly better with a bit more commentary, but I don't think it matters that much and it depends on how much time you have to do stuff like that.

Nice, creation of a RoRo ferry terminal. Dublin Port (right in the centre of Dublin's coastline) has a pretty big port with a good mix of containerisation along with RoRo ferries, and even cruise ships docking (so if you are looking for additional inspiration for a dock area in the middle of a city). For your import based dock, make sure to have space customs posts as well as checks on plant and animal matter.
As a kiwi was hooked the whole episode. Loved the details and realism, specifically with the port!

Incredible looking start mate! Do you happen to have an asset collection for the ploppable houses and commercial buildings used in this episode? As an Aucklander myself I would love to use assets similar to the ones you use in my own future builds.

What mods do you currently consider to be crucial to play CS? Your videos made me want to come back to this game, but I didn't play it for at least 3-4 years.

Oh yes, 10 minutes in and I can already tell this project is going to be incredible! As far as the structure of the videos, I seem to be in a shrinking minority who enjoys shorter episodes (don't really have an opinion on level of commentary). I just find it hard to find the time to watch a longer video in one sitting. But tbh I'll be here regardless, so do whatever works best for you 🙂
Such a cool idea for a city!
The abandoned area is a really cool idea and looks very convincing. Though I am confused about one thing-- if the abandoned area is overgrown, why is the ground brown in the area like it sees lots of active construction related traffic? Having lots of weeds in the area suggest this is not one of those climates where nothing grows unless actively watered by human means... Anyway, excited for this series, I like the format and prefer the longer eps :)
Hi DH! Lovely video. Btw in Find it 2 settings, you can set a randomize button so when plopping you don't have to keep on clicking the next building to put down!
Longer content with less commentary is fantastic...but please do not make the background music too loud, as this can become stressful to watch. Just a thought.

Having spent a decade living in Auckland a while back, you're making me all nostalgic dude. Such a great map and i'm really looking forward to this series. I think CS2 is going to take a long time to get to be worth playing for detailers like yourself. The workshop is going to have to really get up and running quickly.
