I remember this event it was mad chill for me I didnt even stress if I lost it was so sick they actually added voicelines in the game. Fun boss aswell as you gotta interact around the map instead of just putting down the usual op towers (accel, commander, dj etc.) I did win at the end and gotta say it is one of the best events they done.

Gotta say, this is going to be one of the first events that I’m going to miss dearly when it ends, Frost Invasion would be another that fits it, but this takes the cake

This sounds a bit uneasy. And in a good way. I feel like there is something huge waiting for us in the end. The battles we’ll endure? It’ll only be the beginning.
Ok, I did something like this before on the Totality OST…but this one also struck me as well since First Contact is also an eclipse term. So sorry if I sound like a literal dork or nerd. So first contact (after searching up dumb crap after sheer boredom after beating event, really don’t ask) means “the moment when the Moon takes its first tiny nibble out of the solar disk - the beginning of the partial phase of an eclipse.” Basically the moon is starting to cover up the sun from my understanding of this definition. Also this song is the very first of the Solar Eclipse Event OSTs we hear since it’s only heard on Night I. Again, call me a nerd when I say this, it could possibly mean that the Umbra is already starting to slowly take over the entire world at this point. The first contact is the beginning of the eclipse slowing becoming a thing. And there are four contacts or stages of a total eclipse. After the first stage/contact, we get the second contact. Second contact is literally a few minutes before totality. This doesn’t really make sense since the sky goes dark on Night IV. I kinda explained that on the Totality OST video. But I do believe that in the beginning of Night IV, we are already in the second contact, why it didn’t occur in Nights II or III is beyond my understanding. In the second contact there’s this effect that goes on called Bailey’s Beads, named after Francis Bailey who (not really) discovered it. This phenomenon occurs when the Sun shines through the Moon’s crater creating what looks like beads. As the moon is now just about there where it can cover the whole sun, the beads disappear and create another phenomenon called the Diamond Ring effect. This is where one light or “bead” remains and makes a bright burst of light. After that’s gone totality happens. Think of the disappearing beads as a countdown to totality. Totality is…something I already explained (again look at Totality/Umbra’s theme to get the full explanation). In short, it’s where the Moon covers the entire Sun and leaves the whole sky dark and the Sun’s corona (or the glow the sun leaves off during totality. Also that’s what the Umbra’s crown is based off of.) remains; the brightness of the corona is determined by the Sun’s magnetic field. Totality lasts for two minutes. Unless if we’re talking about the event, most likely longer. As of the third and fourth contacts. It’s just the first two but reversed. That’s all there is to know about those two contacts. I’m tired and my nerd self wanted to slide in so here you go. Some more trivia no one asked for, and probably created more lore for the community to take a look at.
