I’m taking a formal orchestration and composition program now and find they are extremely helpful. Until now I have never had any formal training and think Orchestration Recipes are a wonderful bridge to “Theoryville”. Can’t wait for volume 5!

Philip: your microphone and boom positioned in front of your face may be okay for a radio interview but it’s visually distracting in a video. I adjusted by listening rather than watching. Good interview, Dave, as usual. Recipes, spices - an interesting way to add flavor to a composer’s toolkit.
