My heart aches realizing that John @ George are both gone. Two lights have been taken off of the planet. Thankfully their music and messages will never die. RIP I have been a fan since May 63 an The Beatles remain one of my biggest inspirations.

God bless George RIP. His life and being are an inspiration to me. Such a kind hearted, gentle, honest and down to earth guy. When he speaks I always feel its truth. So I believe what he says. Paul meanwhile, and I love him too, can be irritating because he's too bothered by image and saying the right thing. George doesn't care, he just gives you the truth.

I love The Beatles, alright. What ticks me off though is the Lennon/McCartney credit. Yeah they did most of the writing, but that was in the beginning. When George followed along with writing/producing, he didn't get that much credit or credit at all. The same goes for Ringo. Behind all this ruckus of who gets the most credits and all, I'm sure they all love each other.

If George "idolized" anyone musically, it would have been Carl Perkins.

"Surely you must be nervous about being assassinated too...." Sheesh....horribly prophetic to how close to being true that could have been for George.

How ironic that he said he thought he didn't see how anyone wanted to kill him. About 12 years later that almost came to pass ac ouple of years before he did die. Well, whatever, I miss him.

Actually, I think George didn't mind John being superior. John was older by a couple of years. When you're a teen, that's a lot. Plus George knew John was the better songwriter. George didn't start writing songs until much later, so it took longer for him to get good as John

HombresGotNoName actually, George had a lot of songs written, long before the Beatles break-up.
John and Paul, didn't really value him very much, especially toward the end. He was the first one to walk out.

Stephen Smith, John Lennon was actually a very humble man, deep down.

George wrote all of the Beatles songs, so John shouldn’t be complaining, or had been.
