The hypocrisy stems from the same source that it does throughout so many denominational ideologies. They read Paul’s letters, while ignoring context. This is a conversation I’m constantly having with various pastors & bishops. This archaic, misogynistic dogma is not what Paul was endorsing. Context reveals this truth. And if anyone wants to know, yes; I ordain women. If anyone has a problem with that, they’d better be highly skilled in exegesis & hermeneutics, because it’s how I’ll support my position.

    • @rapmeister1000
      @rapmeister1000 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

@ it’s actually far more complex than that, and mainly revolves around the rudimentary English understanding of the word rendered as “silent”. From the Greek, it means something other than what most English speakers think it means. The rendering wasn’t done to intentionally mislead. The reason is that when the KJV was published, there was no 1:1 translation for every Greek word.

Women are allowed to vote in COGIC elections. Wives of bishops, certain selected women, and supervisors are allowed to vote. Licensed men, elders and bishops can vote. It’s up to the bishop of that jurisdiction to select a lay person as a delegate.

I'm not a member of COGIC but I am a sister in The Lord Messiah Jesus Christ and humbly MVMY (my view my opinion) is that maybe the politics, political candidates and ideologies of the world SHOULD NOT be brought into the churches NOR preached from church pulpits by leadership. It is very sad regarding all this DIVISIVENESS amongst our spiritual leaders and many brethren. Everyone seems to NEED a big slice of HUMBLE pie. All this religiosity and pompousness is NOT GOOD! Not to mention there is no church denomination (schism) that sets the STANDARDS for the entire Body of The Christ. The Holy Scriptures📖 are CLEAR regarding church leadership and order, what should be preached, worship etc. Is there any wonder why churches are losing their influence and witness in the world🌎?

We must also interpret the scriptures correctly, before we can apply them wholly. Do you know there are 4 variations of the word "Woman" in the new testament? When Paul penned 1 Timothy 2:1 the greek term "GYNE" is used for Woman. This means Wife. This is not the term "Woman" used in Romans 1:27, where Paul states that men will leave the natural use of "Woman", the greek term "THELYS" is used, meaning female. Paul did not say in 1 Timothy, Females, He said - WIVES, for the office of Wife is more important than that of teacher or secular leader (per the bible, not present, secular society of course). Further, please note, we are in the last Days. The Holy Spirit reminds me of both Joel 2:28-32 and Acts 2:15-21 that states in the last days, God's sons AND DAUGHTERS would prophesy. God will always have a remnant stand for him, and He will have His sons AND DAUGHTERS on the Wall in these last days to teach, lead and be an example of the fires of God flames, confounding the wisdom of the wise. #LastDaysChangesErythang

The supporting scripture, was Judges chapter 4&5. God raised Deborah up to lead all of Israel. Israel where there was no separation if you will, of church(GOD’s chosen people) and state. Israel was God’s chosen people and He sovereignly ( did not receive counsel from man) appointed a woman to lead. She was a prophet(spiritual leadership) she was a judge and military strategist if you will (governmental leadership)
God himself was never out of order, unrighteousness or wrong. Meaning if it was wrong for a woman to lead God would not have done it. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever more. He changes not.
The point is if He did it before He can do it again. He raised a woman up to lead His people before He can raise a woman up to lead HIS people again. Not to say all women are qualified just as all men in the church are not qualified. Let’s let God be God🙏🏾

Debra was a prophetess and a judge. The Bible doesn’t at all indicate that she was chosen as a form of punishment for Israel’s disobedience. Anyone who said that is adding to the Scriptures. Also, Debra still submitted unto the man who was in charge at the time, but he was too afraid to go up without her, an action that was actually considered dishonorable so she cautions him, “if I have to go with you, it indicates you don’t believe the word of God, so the glory will not go to you, but rather to a woman”. Notice this isn’t said to the man as though it were a good thing. 🫶🏽

I'm not a prophtess, nor, pastor, nor Bishop,I don't have a degree, but I'm a teacher,I get my teaching from fasting, praying, from Jesus Christ.I see many people talking about Deborah,After Judge Ehud had personally assassinated the wicked king of Moab, he proclaimed to Israel, “Follow me, for the Lord has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand”. Under his courageous leadership Israel’s army killed about 10,000 Moabites. As a result Israel enjoyed 80 years of rest (see Judges 3). But sadly, Judges chapter 4 reveals how after Ehud died, the children of Israel began to follow after false gods. So God gave them over to Jabin, King of Canaan, who harshly oppressed them for twenty years. This was not the first time that Israel would rebel against God after their godly leader died. And unfortunately, it would not be the last. Deborah judged and led Israel for 60 years, the nation,A judge, prophetess, singer, military leader,God gave her the authority
many times in Scripture God shows up when His people cry out for help. In this case, Israel was paralyzed by fear of Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army who boasted 900 iron chariots. So, God rose up an unlikely judge, prophetess and hero of the faith a woman named Deborah. She was married but also obeyed God,Deborah delivered God’s message to Barak to take 10,000 men to battle against Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army who all Israel was afraid of Sisera. Deborah’s prophecy continued, “And God
will deliver him into your hand” (Judges 4:7) but the one you fear the most Sisera will be into the hand of a woman”,why would God before grace and mercy Jesus died appoint a woman to be over all Israel even the men, because he knew this time was going.(Gal.3:28)There's male nor female for we are all one in Christ-in the eyes of God, men and women are equally valuable and have an equal chance of salvation. It also calls for unity and harmony among the church which is us the body of Christ, and for treating each other as brothers and sisters.Prisca and Aquila were husband and wife who worked together,Paul also talked about,Romans 16:3-4)(Acts 18:26)Priscilla and Aquila were a first-century Christian missionary married couple described in the New Testament. Aquila is traditionally listed among the Seventy Disciples. They lived, worked, and traveled with the Apostle Paul, who described them as his fellow workers in Christ Jesus. And the scripture everybody use about a bishop of one wife, well keep reading it also say the deacon should be the husband of one wife why do the churches have deaconess,1Tmothy 3:2-12)Also the scripture many teach, women should be silent in the church and not to usurp authority over men,1 Timothy 2:12 and 1 Corins, 14:34) remember Paul was teaching to Gentiles,Jews ect, some still had customs under the law that wasn't a sin such as separating men on one side women on the other or covering your head with hats, clearly the Bible say,1 Corns, 11:1-16 read down to the 16 verse But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.if women should keep silence in church sit your wife down, the church mother, your mother, your grandmother, sisters, all the women's,if a woman want to asked anything asked her husband well what if she's not married, read the scriptures with an understanding from Jesus.don't change the Bible,What does Usurp means, take (a position of power or importance) illegally or by force. So if people are being saved, filled with Jesus Holy Ghost for real not faking, getting healed through you by the power of the Holy Ghost, that person is live according to Jesus word, and they come before Jesus you think he will say depart from me cause you use the name Bishop, pastor (A women) nope he will say well done thy good and faithful servant, not pastor, not bishop servant.People care about tiles Jesus don't he care about souls,But don't get me wrong I don't like hollering, getting a tune, kicking your legs up,hooping, woman or man.Don't partake of another man or woman evil doings, or to agree with them saying it's ok, Oh by the way when I was born 75 years ago I was born to COGIC parents,

@@LifeandLove85 Did ancient Greeks have a single word for both “woman” and “wife”?”
The ancient Greek (Attic) word for woman was γυνή which had other forms in different dialects such as γυνά, the accusative form γυναίκα became the common form in modern Greek. It is a cognate to the English word “queen” both of which come from Proto-Indo-European.
Now “gynē” (γυνή) means woman but can also mean “wife” an parallels the use of ἀνήρ “man” (whose accusative form ἄνδρα survives in modern Greek as άνδρας/άντρας) also means husband. But the use of man/woman to mean also husband/wife is not unique in Greek.
However Greek also has the word σύζυγος sýzygos which literally means “co-yoked” and has been used since Ancient Greek through today to mean “spouse” and as a noun of common gender means “wife” or “husband” depending if the article ἡ or ὀ is used.

Pasta genogenings have already explain why women. Are not to be teachers and preachers in the church. I think you should call him to your show and have this open debate. He'd be more than willing to come and explain to you the scriptures. I do not agree that women cannot vote in the church. They should be allowed to vote on leadership.

Man of God I love you but you will have a hard time proving that the verses in 1st Timothy 3 (specifically these verses!) allow for women to become Bishops in the Lord’s church without twisting scripture and making it contradict itself. It is clear when Paul writes this (under inspiration of the Holy Ghost) that he explicitly intends that only men become Bishops.
The Bible doesn’t prevent women from being in leadership (that’s a very broad term you used repeatedly in the clip) but Paul deals specifically with the office of the Bishop and it doesn’t apply to women.
Furthermore, it is hypocritical on a lot of levels for Bishop Sheard or any Bible believing pastor to endorse VP Harris who has blatantly and publicly shown herself to be an anti Christian candidate. Lastly, the Church (and I’m sure you would agree with this at least) should not take its cues from the world regarding how we are to operate. So what the world elects women for top leadership, that should not be the reason that the Church does, but rather what the Bible teaches and allows should be the only standard.
The Bible teaches women can operate in various forms of leadership in the Church, but respectfully (and at the risk of yall cursing me out in the comments) being Bishop isn’t one of them. (Side note: I’m pretty sure women are allowed to vote in the General Assembly of the COGIC since my First Lady and our Church Evangelist both indicated to me who they would be voting for in this years election).

I do notice that COGIC licenses women as Evangelistic Missionaries and Evangelists though. They also allow certain women to pastor who have had a male relative who served as pastor to die. So if some women can pastor in COGIC, they should let all women do it.

Matthew 16:18-19, 1Timothy 2: 12. This is about the order of Authority given by GOD through the Apostles to govern the Church. As for Deborah she never exercise Authority over Israel as much as she spoke to Israel according to GOD'S will. Even Deborah submitted herself to the authority of the men. She submitted to the Authority of the men in leadership. Please refer to how Deborah acted in submission and humility.
