by the way, i download the latest version of AI... the interface is very different from the video. no image tracing panel but can only be found in windows-> image trace. what version is this AI?
On WINDOWS to remove that spot in the center on images I had to box select like he did and pick shape builder tool with everything still selected. Hover over that area when fine grid appears hold alt and click LMB to remove. Hope helps 24hrs into illustrator and this was giving me issues hope this helps someone, that don't what hold options means. I think keys are different for Mac users, never owned a Mac 🤷🏽♂️!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Simple, easy and not too much analysis on how to follow this tutorial in action. I like the way you presented this tutorial to us. It really helped me a lot because you are from the people who make it all easy to understand in both words and action. Thank you so much. Also, I shared this on my channel for my channel's viewers to see in case there is someone who'd like to follow such simple tutorials like yours here.
Damn bro thanks for this lol. So quick and simple. I had an image with a similar amount of colors. And you definitely had me paying attention to the different options and how they can/may distort the image some. First time coming across your videos. Might have to check out what other gems you have. Thank you.
I'm using CS6, but I noticed on mine I had to go up to select at the top, deselect everything, and then I was able to use the direct selection tool. I don't know if that will work for you, but it's worth a shot.
Try selecting the whole object with the Selection tool (instead of the Direct selection tool), and then use the shape builder tool as he did. That might work! (It did for me).
It means Alt! When you hold Alt and click the mouse button, you erase that part. You just have to make sure there’s everything selected and use the same tool of the video
at 2:42 you said use the shape builder tool, hold down "options" and delete i have no idea what this options thing youre talking about, is there a button on my keyboard im not seeing, i have a hp keyboard with a windows pc bt the way
Does this work for images and lines, etc.? I am using the snipping tool on windows to extract pieces of pages from a master pdf journal to make my own custom journal, but when i resize to 8 1/2x 11, the text looks terrible like it ran through a copy machine 100 times after I print it out. Looking for the best way to fix this.
I don''t know why but when i do the instructions and when i go to image trace the image goes insanly blurry, it is just like someone threw a bucket of mud on the logo. Help?

""BUT"
How do i save it at 15KB or less to be uploaded yo Gran Turismo Sport
Maybe try scaling down the design as much as you can and saving it as a lower-res PDF if possible
Remove the back ground with the direction trace tool did not work on Illustrator 2020. Followed exact steps maybe it is the image I used?
Please answer this question not working in 2020

It means Alt! When you hold Alt and click the mouse button, you erase that part. You just have to make sure there’s everything selected and use the same tool of the video

Once vectorized, correct! For print make sure your colour mode is CMYK.
