    I had a 2023 LR and now a 2024 YP. Also drove a 2023 YP back to back with the LR last year to compare.
    For me, the YP feels no less comfy, yet WAY better body control and overall feel. Even the braking and steering feel better. It’s just … “more like a good BMW” I would say.
    So that, along with the power and superior looks, easily sealed the deal.
    (I also really like the new stealth grey color!!)

    My 2022 MYLR has some problems with the suspension, it makes much noise and wobble on an uneven road but it does not meet the "Tesla standard" to get a new one to repair, here is what the Tesla staff said: you could pay for 2023 softer suspension but it will affect my warranty. I am still struggling is it worth getting an OEM suspension in this situation.

    Just spoke with a Tesla salesperson who was aware of your video. He said Freemont has only been putting confort suspensions on performance models since January, and yours was most likely an early Dec 2022 build? If it's true that you pulled the shocks out and checked part numbers, would your guess be that Tesla did indeed change the model Y performance's suspension, but that the 'comfort' goal was just a complete fail? Any idea if there has at least been any suspension improvement at all over older versions of the car? I'm shocked and disappointed by the findings of your video!

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  ปีที่แล้ว

      I cannot make assumptions but can only show you the results. There is a difference in comfort between early 2022 and our 2023 model. We do have the most updated “comfort” spec on our Y but it still differs from the Long Range 2023 Y.

    I placed an order for the 2023MYLR. If you could go back, would you buy (MYLR or MYLP)?
    Side note: I’m not worried about the different wheels because I have connects and could get some at a good price, but I know other things are different. Would those difference be worth the $4k?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only difference would be the wheels, which you can always sell for about 3K, and then getting track mode/colored calipers, as well as lowered stiffer suspension. With that you can decide if it's worth it. That's a really tough one to answer honestly.

    I have trouble deciding between MYRL 23 and MYP 23. I like the look’s of the MYP better, and the acceleration is really fun. But I value ride comfort higher with the MYLR still being really fast. There is a lot of MYP-owners saying that the difference between ride comfort in MYP vs MYLR is marginal for the 2023-version. But this video shows that MYLR 23 probably would be a better daily driver with the more comfortable suspension? The price difference does not matter to me, I just want to do the right decision..! 😅
