FZJ 80 series on 40" Rock Crawling

Someday I'll put 40s on my 80 series😢 I'm currently on 33s milestar Patagonias on OEM rims. Just picked up some 1st Gen Sequoia rims I plan to run 35s on that Instead of the 16s OEM..what do you think will be better 17 inch rim or 16?
