In this lecture, you will learn how to calculate the dead load of slabs (floors) and apply it by using "groups" option in STAADPro Connect Edition.
Total DL on Typical Slab includes:
1) Floor Finish (in KN/m2)
2) Self weight of slab
Similarly, DL on Terrace Slab includes:
1) Floor Finish + Water Proofing
2) Self weight of slab

If our structure is multistorey then also we follow the same method for grouping the slab or is there any other method to do fast

if you don't consider the floor loads over plinth slab, you end up with warnings, how will you overcome with such warnings

if L/B is less than 2 , the slab should be designed as 2 way slab.
