Thanks you for the explanation! I just put mine together and couldn't for the life of me understand what the loops, hooks, and 2nd pins were for. Makes perfect sense now.
Thank you... I bought a similar model from another company,, assembly instructions were crap. After seeing your video, I now have a much better idea of how to put mine together
Yeah, my directions were a little dicey too. It was pretty tough, but I got it together by myself. Would've gone much easier with two more people, but with some muscle you can do it yourself. You almost need a crane to build this crane.
Yo! Thanks for the comment, I've been following your channel for a while and you have taught me a lot! I'll be bringing your comment up during tonight's live stream, 7 pm EST, Episode 22. Hopefully you can make it!
Hey, I know that this was 4 yrs ago but I need your advice. I just bought this from Jegs and the instructions suck! They are unclear and wrong in some spots. Its also possible that they didnt include all the hardware. I'm stuck at the instalation of the handle to raise and lower the I-beam. IT looks like yours has spacers to go between the bracket and the handle? Did those come with it when you bought it? Also, do you have 1 long bolt that goes from 1 side of the bracket to the other that holds the handle to the bracket? Thanks if you're able to help.
What is the lowest height this gantry can go? Looks like you have difficulty to roll it into your garage since usually garage door is about 7 ft tall. Otherwise have to leave it outside. It is my only concern to buy this type of crane...
From the Jegs Website. 1-Ton Capacity Adjusts from 7'11" to 11'9" H Inside Width: 7'10" Because of that, you are right, I am unable to move it into my little garage. I am forced to keep it outside. I recently made a video about how it's held up being outside for over a year. th-cam.com/video/nGUYvE7yxxY/w-d-xo.html

Did it come with instructions for adjusting the span ? Or possible extension part number to increase the span ?
That's awesome.

I have a 2000 ford f350 dually and looks too narrow for my truck. I am looking to take the bed off my truck as well.
Nice video.
Did your brother ever help make that happen? Heard he is pretty awesome and really strong.
Only his left arm
