Great video. Fronius makes extremely nice equipment, they are truly technology driven. I was able to tour their facility in Portage, Indiana and was very impressed. I have a Miller Maxstar 140STR which was made by Fronius. I am constantly amazed with the arc quality from a machine the size of a 4 slice toaster. That's what I call it, the "toaster". Have a great day
That’s great you had a chance to visit the Fronius Portage, IN facility. Too bad I wasn’t in Indiana - People still swear by the 140 STR 👌 You have to try out an Transpocket or TransTig
Heck yeah!!! When you get the machine send me the serial number and your info. I’ll send you out a shirt an a few other things. Bliven.Christopher@fronius.com
@@chris_b_liven with my luck Fronius will come out with a welder to replace the transsteel 2200 shortly after I purchase mine 😥 lol Been debating on these three welders ....Fronius transsteel 2200 / HTP 200 / Esab 205ic. But after reading reviews on the Esab 205ic , it sure seems there are way more issues with it compared to the Fronius 2200 or the HTP 200 . I really like the fact that the Fronius 2200 will run on 110 volt where the HTP will not . Nice to have that 110 option . Just the overall high quality / higher duty cycles of the Fronius seems to be the way to go !!
@@chris_b_liven unfortunately I have not tested out a Fronius transsteel 2200 . Watched every TH-cam video out there on this welder & read many reviews ...lots of happy owners for sure . Even though I am up in northern Canada 🇨🇦...If I do go ahead with the purchase , thinking of buying from Bakers welders & gas . They seem to have really good promos always running .
@@faronf2006 It’s hard for me to tell you which one is better overall just because I’m a little bias 😂 I think if your in the market you should try all three out and make a decision. Fronius is starting to add more and more dealers in the Canada market. They hired a distribution manager in Canada so be on the lookout
No saved programs on this unit. It does remember the last settings based on process so you could essentially have different settings for Stick/Cellulose and TIG
I have a Transtig 210 , I tried to upgrade the firmware ,very difficult , ended up with ERR 18 machine was frozen , in the end had to send it back to Fronius to fix very disappointed !!!!!!!
Thanks for watching! 6010 is a beast with both units - Whip and pause all day long even with 300 ft extension cords. You have to try one out - let me know
Dane Werkema On the TransTig 170/210 it’s a wired pedal only. If you want Bluetooth then you would have to step up to a 230i unit. Send me an email with your information and I’ll have someone reach out to you. Bliven.Christopher@fronius.com
Show us the inside, this is where the interesting stuff is. And you can see if the engineers did a good job and whether you might be able to repair it yourself, in case the magic smoke comes out ;-D
Yes, If you run the 6010 in standard stick mode. If you turn CEL mode on I don’t think you can utilize pulse. Long story short run the 6010/11 in standard stick mode if you want to use this capability
MilkyCereal83 i hope the stick portion is better then the transsteel 2200. To me the 2200 is a mig machine that does the other process but I mainly use a diesel Lincoln ranger 10,000 at work so I may be expecting too much
S4v4g3 86 I agree with you regarding the TransSteel 2200 in stick mode. The best processes at MIG and TIG - stick is a little weak if you compare to TransTig or Transpocket
MilkyCereal83 I went to order the transtig and accidentally ordered the transpocket as I was comparing specs. Lol. Now I’m waiting on the refund to order the transtig
If your not looking for a MIG it’s a nice small portable high frequency option. Fronius has a MIG/TIG/STICK package called a TransSteel 2200 which runs on 110/220 v power
I love my 210. Buttery smooth. I used it this week (stick mode) fixing a dump trailer that rolled over. You do a great job explaining the features.

Very good review.... Thanks
Nice reciew/demo brother! Killer machines as well!
Derrick Cohee Thanks dude!!!
I ordered the bigger one last week. Can’t wait to try it when it shows up. I’m a mig guy so this will be my first try.

I just ordered the 170 I’m so excited to get it Tuesday on the 10th
Nice. When you get it shoot me an email with the Serial number. I’ll get you some swag - Bliven.christopher@fronius.com
Any idea when Fronius may be coming out with a updated version of their transsteel 2200 ? Be nice to see a modern interface etc
I haven’t heard anything on a revised faceplate or machine. Have you tested a unit out yet?

How can I solve alarm 17 problem?
Machine is fronius transting 16.
Can you make some tig weld with transpocket 150?
I can with a Transpocket 180.
@@chris_b_liven i'm a weekend welder and only with stick. I have a transpocket 150,without gas duse. Please, can u help me with some advices?
Balance control would of been very nice..... do i need to buy a second machine for aluminum ?
kahvac Or look at the Fronius MagicWave 230i - It has AC &DC capabilities
Hi can u save functions and jobs like in the magic wave

3500W on 110V is over 31A! bu 20A breaker will let me use only around 18A. So what's up with Watts?
That would be at max amperage ... You can set the fuse in the machine for a 10/15/16 and 20 so it won’t allow the over amperage
I have a Transtig 210 , I tried to upgrade the firmware ,very difficult , ended up with ERR 18 machine was frozen , in the end had to send it back to Fronius to fix

Hopefully it didn’t cost you too many delays
Bravo
Thanks

I'm guessin over $3000, its fronius lol
$ 2,114 for the TransTig170 & $ 2,584 for the TransTig 210
