It is a major dilemma storing paper but what a WONDERFUL problem. Paper is addictive. Like your top unit with the doors. Smart how you fixed the doots to open to the left or the right.

Yea sometimes where there appears to be no organization there is. If it works it works. Paper and scraps is the hardest to manage. Your system sounds like a good idea. thanks for sharing.

Thanks much! I have very recently become a fan of the 6x6 pads, and, because I used to scrapbook much more than I do now, I have a lot of 12x12. What I've done, is this - the smaller patterns and solids etc, I have just cut down to 4 pieces of 6x6, and store it in a bag with my growing collection of 6x6 pads. It sure is a LOT easier!!! Wish I had some of those cabinets - most of my stuff is 2nd hand etc...but it works well for me!

where I struggle is organising my patterned paper scraps, the ones that don't come with a 6x6 book to keep them together with, I end up throwing them in a box, and then at some point throwing them out because they've gotten squished. I really need to find a file box or something to keep them better organised! great advice Amy. tfs

Great storage, I love seeing how other people organise their stuff. On the subject of small scraps of card-stock, I keep a box with pieces as small as an inch square and have a session punching mini leaves and flowers out of them while watching telly every now and then. Its a bit noisy tho' for those trying to watch tv with you lol

I like your idea of storing full sheets behind, scraps in the folder and half sheets in front. I'm headed to my craft room, coffee in hand, to start reorganizing. I WAS gonna do housework but.............

Thank you so much for showing how you file your smaller scraps by color in your filing cabinet. I'm still at the stage of throwing scraps into one box & am searching for organizational tips. Great video!

You have a great system! I store my scraps in these 8 1/2x11 clear envelopes that I got at Shopko. I them in different envelopes divided by color. Works great for me, no more sifting through a mess of scraps.

Wow, and I thought I had a lot of card stock and paper. I realized I didn't want to have 12x12 until after I had a bunch of it. For quite a while now I've realized I only want 6x6 packs, and 8 1/2 by 11 for my card bases. It's taking forever to use up the 12 x 12 and it takes up so much room. I'm thinking about taking the time to cut them into 6 x6.
