I find it incredible that a newer school facility was built there in Eros. I would think that the area must be centrally located for it to be in that location. Fascinating. Eros and Bruno both honestly look like small out of the way locations that would be nice to live in. Another great video, and one more to cross off my list of Wiseguy videos to view! 🙃
NICE DRONE VIEWS! I REMEMBER, BACK IN THE LATE 1950s, EARLY 60s THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE EMIGRATED FROM ARKANSAS AND OKLAHOMA TO OUR AREA! ABOUT THE TIME THESE TOWNS STARTED GOING DOWN HILL!
Wow, those tiny rock buildings! So interesting..I would love to see one built! Looks very time consuming! Great video! Nice drone videos! Beautiful landscape!
Cheers! for showing these Ghost Towns they are so evocative to look at and make you wonder of all the people who lived there, empty houses, churches, schools etc always make me sad, all the memories these buildings store could tell some stories. Who needs TV when we can watch your great videos.
It would be interesting to know if one of the old stone buildings was where school was held, up until 2004 when the new building was built? If so, that would be quite an up-grade! Nice video, really enjoyed it!
Love how Arkansas folks used what they had (rocks) to build with. So many buildings have stood the test of time. Would like to know the story on why they named the town Eros. Eros, the Greek God of Love was blind. Perhaps that's where the saying "Love is blind" came about. Another great area to visit. I look forward to seeing what adventures you find next. Stay safe and GOD bless
I like that you've found some local people to interview in your videos to gain more knowledge and get their insight into their communities. Lots of channels just drive around and look at things and explore but you talking to folks when you can I think sets your channel apart from the others and allows us a unique view to the places you visit. I think its great what you are doing!
@@TravelwithaWiseguyHow nice you are to make sure that we get our usual "fix" of enjoying those little burgs both past and present. Be safe and enjoy the heck out of your trip. And don't forget to gather our videos of the future!
Both of those burgs knew how to rock on. Bruno meaning brown maybe it was named in a dry year. Eros...makes ya wonder why that was chosen. Interesting buildings. Alas no critters came to welcome you . Holding out hope for them next time
Great video! Just a FYI, locals pronounce Eros “E-Ross”. Our country accents make it hard to pronounce a lot of town names in our area, come back soon!
Oh dang, that "house" in Eros is a school? I was thinking "that looks like a cozy little house" and then you put the chyron under it saying it's a school. I was shocked. Looks nothing like a school to me
The definition of ghost town is a loose term. Most experts (not me) would consider these fall into that category because they are a fraction of what they used to be and/or went from an official town to being unincorporated. They’re literally not towns anymore.
Nice quite area with building's of stone. Arkansas scenery is beautiful with all the trees .
It really is!
Loved hearing the bird singing their hearts out.❤
Good trip to start my day. Thank you
Thanks Ken!
Another great 👍 day with a wise guy 😊
Thank you Julio!

Thank you for watching so many videos! This was a short one but I found it interesting about the new school too. I wonder what the enrollment is?
@@TravelwithaWiseguy In 2010, the enrollment (according to Wikipedia) was 126.
Cool short video. Cheers again from the Netherlands and safe travels!
Thank you 😊

ABOUT THE TIME THESE TOWNS STARTED GOING DOWN HILL!
Thanks! Would’ve been interesting to see them in their heyday.
Thanks for another great video. As an Aussie I would love to see the US. What you present Wiseguy is as good as it gets when you can't visit.
Thank you! Short one today but some very interesting buildings 😊
HAVING AQUIRED SEVERAL AUSSIE FRIENDS IN THE LAST FEW YEARS , I WOULD LOVE TO WANDER YOUR OUTBACK!!
@@rossbryan6102For sure! If I would go outside the USA, I am going to Australia and New Zealand.
As an American, I feel lucky to be able to live on such a varied continent. All politics aside, it’s amazing how much there is to see here.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
That’s some pretty countryside. The local building materials are amazing
Very beautiful area to explore!

I don’t think so. I think there was another area the town kids went to when this closed in the 70’s.
I live in Eros and my house is in this picture

Yes they did a great job with some of these buildings! Caught my eye as I was passing through! Thanks again!
Great video. Right next to where my dad grew up. Your last video on Greenfield is right next to where I grew up
Awesome! What’s the chances of that 😂
Thank you for this tour.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great videos. Are ya getting ready to hit that long trek soon?
Thanks! I’m just crossing over into Utah today from western Colorado.
@@TravelwithaWiseguy Awesome! Safe travels brother

I didn’t realize it either until I looked it up online afterwards!
For that old school being on the national register, you wound think someone would do a better job of keeping up. TFS
How places get onto that list is always interesting to me.
Let me try this again (just to make sure).
I think I'm back (think..... I'm back)
It works! 😂😂 He’s alive!
@@TravelwithaWiseguy Yes, that sucked after a very large storm. Everything seems to be normal now. Be good, be safe.
Not to abandoned or ghost town. When people still live there

You dont show inside buildings long enough. I said oh wow look the...and pic was gone literally in 3 seconds lol. 🤷🏼♀️
You are able to hit pause 😊
