[Nasa Space App Challenge BAKU] Conclusion Report
Executive Summary
From October 7 to October 8 the "Nasa Space App Challenge" hackathon was held in Baku.
The final presentation day was also held on October 11th.
On the final day 3 winners were chosen.
As part of the competition, 23 teams were selected through a competitive method.
21 out of 23 teams made it to the final day of the presentation; these two teams did not show up for the final day.
Introduction
From October 7 to 8, the “Nasa Space App Challenge” hackathon was held in Baku, where teams developed a digital product within 36 hours.
The prepared products were presented to the jury in the form of a presentation on October 11.
Objectives
The main goal of the competition was to create digital products that will help people solve problems with following problem:
• Massive fires
• Water shortages
• Space exploration
• Social impact
• Titan City
Participants
As part of the competition, 23 teams were selected through a competitive method.
From over 700 applications, about 100 candidates were selected.
Too many applicants were unable to assemble a team due to an inability to find team members; those teams that were able to assemble teams were selected for competition.
Most of the participants were students at the country's top universities.
In addition, there were also participants from schools.
Solutions and Projects
During the hackathon, teams developed projects related to massive fires, water shortages, space exploration, social impact and Titan City.
The projects were implemented in the form of a web page, a mobile application, and also in the form of an educational game.

Evaluation
The teams were evaluated according to the criteria that were indicated on the official Nasa website.
Four juries from different professional fields evaluated the teams on the final day.
The jury was as follows:
• Asif Ibrahimov (Startup founder - Apple Designated person in Azerbaijan)
• Murad Camalov (Azercosmos expert)
• Soltan Bayramov (Deputy Executive Director on Innovation Center Azerbaijan)
• Bahram Jafarli (Serial Enterprenuer)
Based on the results of the evaluations, the winners are as follows:
