This “buffet” looks like a small family reunion spread. For the price it’s absolutely not worth it. Maybe 10 options doesn’t make a buffet to me personally.
@@AdventureIsOutThere Stop making excuses for that crappy buffet. It was the calm because no one wants to pay 25 bucks for that crap. Not enough food to select from and that dessert bar is a joke.
As we stated in the video, we prefer Aunt Granny's inside Dollywood over this for $2 more. But we still found things we enjoyed and are grateful for a great night at Dollywood!
yall are one of my favorite youtubers because you are not afraid to let people know you are Christians. I thank you from one Christian to another. God bless your family and HAPPY EASTER! He has RISEN!
I was there on passholder preview day with my s/o. we were stuck trying this new buffet because the tasting pass lines were ridiculous… someone had told us a 4 hour wait at one point. so.. we stuck the buffet out. it wasn’t great at all. we hate complaining but.. I won’t be back personally. lol
Food looks like tired & sitting in the warming trays for hours. Also, some of the food on the buffet are odd choices (mushrooms, kale salad, chicken in a biscuit casserole, etc).
that's what I was thinking. I was actually kind of grossed out at the whole set-up. it was kind of scary too. not at all what I expected from Dollywood. I know it is known for the food and the deliciousness of it all. that did not look delicious in any way at all. yuck. no.
I don’t think the buffet looked at all worth the price the food was underwhelming. I love pigeon forge cannot wait to go again. Ps i have asked this a number of times and never get an answer but what is a good little town close enough within 1-2 hours of pigeon forge to live? Thank you for sharing
I think it’s a great idea for when the park is busy, not everyone can fit into aunt granny’s Nice that they still offer it in the off season At least the park is trying to offer affordable food for families at a theme park
I've never heard of DollyWood, but based on what I see--the smaller scale, more laid-back, gentle vibe, and manageable crowd density, I'd be way more inclined to visit this park than anything in the Mouse Kingdom. Thanks
That buffet looked pretty bad. It is almost closing time but I would not choose this for a meal. The atmosphere looks like prison or high school (same thing). We are going to Dollywood in May. Thanks for showing me the buffet as we will make a different choice for food.
It was actually very relaxing & quiet as we mentioned in the video. The menu of the buffet changes on April 19th and we plan to show what it is like then.
What a rip off! This is totally why when I go to a buffet, I look at the buffet before I pay for it. The rolls and the kale salad had the full tongs laying on food. Health violation. The food had no steam rolling off it, which makes me think that it’s not at proper temperature. Dolly needs to know this place sucks! 💯 A dump dish with biscuits??? Dried pork loin that looked like drink coasters? Omg. 😳 crazy.
Hello @AdventrueIsOut There My first video from your channel and I love how y'all Prayed before eating. I prayed with y'all. Thank you for such a sweet channel and I never know my favorite singer/song writer has a theme park.
As we stated in the video, we prefer Aunt Granny's inside Dollywood over this for $2 more. But we still found things we enjoyed and are grateful for a great night at Dollywood!
Thanks for sharing this review of the buffet. Visually, it was not very appealing, but I do love “mini cabbage “ and mushrooms. But, we would go with Aunt Granny’s as well.
Doly is a national treasure. The USA needs to love her, she is a rep of all the good things the USA is about. The classic story of rags to riches, and not loosing her humanity side
I would just stick with Aunt Granny's. I love the family style service and the meat and dessert selection is way better. Plus, no brats putting their hands all over everything...lol
The two plants have different taste and different nutritional values. They are also strikingly different while still in the ground. The cabbage grows a large, single head, close to the ground, while the Brussels sprout grows a tall central stem, with lots of small sprouts clustered around it.
From Southern California, we visited Dollywood last December mid-week and stumbled upon the buffet's Thanksgiving menu. It was very good and VERY cold there...heaters were thankfully scattered around the picnic tables. Excellent value and a good experience. Fun to see your video...hard to believe you two were all alone on a Friday evening.
Please explain discount passes? Where do you buy them? Would they benefit a family who may only go once? Yes, Dairy free and gluten free foods are really important to people who have allergies. We get tired of packing our own lunch.
I feel like you caught them on a day they weren't expecting anyone at all because the idea and setting of everything was well done but i definitely wouldn't be happy PAYING to eat THAT exact serving. Maybe theyll step it up by the time the spring break crowd comes in next week.. Thank guys!!
so you’re telling me that the food is exposed to the elements and the insects of that area there’s no sneeze guards to the food is susceptible to peoples terms and they’re charging what for it? people are willingly paying? That’s a science experiment not a buffet.
I LOVE buffets and would totally eat here. The problem with Dollywood is the 'kids' age for Aunt Granny's and the Spring Buffet stops at I believe 9 years old. That means you have to pay adult pricing for all the kids out of that range and it gets exponentially more expensive. If you have any kids that are above that age, but don't eat a lot it's not cost effective. We used to love Aunt Granny's but priced out these days because we're basically charged adult pricing for the whole family and that's not worth it for some fried chicken and sides. Again I'd go here 100% and love buffets, just wish Dollywood had better staggered pricing for kids. Have fun at the parks!
MR MOUNTAIN MAN! Thanks for stopping by! Our girls are doing a different camp this summer, so I guess they won't see yours! We have just had to come and accept our kids are adults, even though some of them still eat like kids. We will try and come back and highlight what's on the new buffet when it starts on April 19th! Hope all is well with you and your family...Keep pushing the plow (Luke 9:62)! - Ryan
It's nice to see another sit down food option. I hope the new restaurant they're building will be a sit down place. I saw a review of the Christmas buffet from last year. Will there be one for the Christmas festival this year? Do you get a discount on the buffet as a passholder?
we were just there. I didn't know about this place--but we are a family of 4 and that's not worth $100 for 4 of us. So one problem is that I guarantee that a high percentage of guests don't know that this place exists. But the pricing needs to come down. They can even serve it (a cafeteria-type setup could work). And they need to offer more non-pig meats. We and some other guests don't eat pig.
Brussel Sprouts aren't baby cabbages. Many Brussel Sprouts grow on a single stalk. A head of cabbage is on a single stalk. An immature cabbage is more leaf like before it heads into a round cabbage. Both belong to the Brassica family of plants.
Baby cabbage is a sweet cabbage and looks like a small white cabbage. Grows to the size of a baseball in a cabbage patch. Brussels sprouts grow on a branch and taste bitter.
I looooove mushroom pizza or anything with mushrooms. When I cook foods with mushrooms, I'll pile it on. This buffet is the worst buffet I've ever seen, and I've been to hundreds of buffets. I'm shocked this is the best they came up with. Dolly loves fresh, home-cooked Southern comfort foods so I wonder if she picked each item or someone else did it? I wanna go to Dollywood when Dolly is there to make an appearance 🙂
always enjoy your videos and the great information. we saw that you really like mushrooms. have you heard of the mushroom festival held in Kennett Square PA.?
We haven't been to Dollywood since before the pandemic. But Aunt Granny's was our favorite place to eat. And at that time everything including the desserts was all you could eat. Thanks for sharing about this alternate buffet! Nice to have options.
@LuvBug2 aunt granny’s did a nice renovation in 2018 I think, upscale buffet. In 2019 they went to family style with limits. We went last November and couldn’t spend time on the wait so we tried the country fair buffet which wasn’t really advertised for some reason. They had patio heaters set up and it was really comfortable!
As we stated in the video, we prefer Aunt Granny's inside Dollywood over this for $2 more. But we still found things we enjoyed and are grateful for a great night at Dollywood!
That buffet, she was tired. The half bowl of mac salad was repulsive. It should have been refreshed and served in the same container as everything else. Dressings had skins on them. The dried out, used looking remaining offers were disappointing. Dessert was bs. Cookies and pudding? Is this a retirement community? I would have asked for a refund. No cap.

But but Dolly needs more money.
I gotta agree, I thought of taking my family here but I always look at reviews. Not for a family of 4.
wow. kinda shocked. you guys were there for like an hour? NO ONE ELSE entered or exited the entire time you were there. that's amazing.
As I said, it was the calm before the spring break storm. It was very quiet in the park on this evening, it was very relaxing!
@@AdventureIsOutThere Stop making excuses for that crappy buffet. It was the calm because no one wants to pay 25 bucks for that crap. Not enough food to select from and that dessert bar is a joke.

I've called Brussel sprouts little cabbages’ all my life. I'm 65. You are both right!

Never heard them called anything but Brussels Sprouts. I can understand calling them cabbage though.
That didn’t look good. I hope they have better eating options.

That pork looked so sad.
Looks very poor. I questioned the price now I know why 😂
Food looks like tired & sitting in the warming trays for hours. Also, some of the food on the buffet are odd choices (mushrooms, kale salad, chicken in a biscuit casserole, etc).
I LOVED that you prayed over your food in Jesus' name. I also loved that you took your hat off to pray. Respect. God bless you both and your channel.
Thanks Gillian, Sola Deo gloria!
Came here to say the same thing!
At that buffet, I don't care for the wide open buffet food containers. I prefer the ones with the protective guards or server

No sneeze guards and serving spoon handles sitting in the food…Mmmmm. Next trip to the ER!!! You better pray you don’t get sick.

Check Seymour, Townsend & Kodak in your search.
Newport or Cosby is nearby with many emenities and close proximity to GSMNP and the lakes.
Yuk, they could have had better presentations, for that price, boring Table set up...

Honestly it doesn't look that appetizing. Not enough decent protein and alot of carbohydrates in casseroles.

Best to go to any buffet when it is busy. This food did not look great.
There are some things that though not visually appealing, we really enjoyed. We also enjoyed how peaceful & quite it was on this evening.

Brussels Sprouts on the stalk are a beautiful sight in the fall
They also taste completely different. Cabbage can be eaten raw too whereas brussel sprouts are disgusting raw.
You can cut a cabbage at the base and each rib of the cabbage will grow a minicabbage which look and tastes just like Brussel sprouts!
