Thank you for your video . Iam an immigrant parent and I feel responsible. I also did push and encourage my girls. Now they both have tons of debt and they both are doing something else. It took me a year to get over their decision but time will help me and i wish you young people all the best. This is a different country and different world.
Bro I’ve legit had a very similar experience. No gap year. Parents from immigrants who believed education and degrees was evething in life. I graduated in May and then did 7 months of residency this past year. It was miserable. Left in February and have been so much happier. Started being able to purse things I like. Parents currently hate me but I know I made the right decision. We only get one life. And we get to pick our happiness. Keep up the good work bro. Been following you for years now on IG and love your content. My depression was way worse being in the hospital everyday. Hopefully this inspires others like us who are stifling being in medicine but are not truly enjoying it. We were not meant to be stuck in a hospital 6 days a week. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed
Thanks for watching man! Glad you resonate. It’s not what it used to be precovid & 20 years ago. My parents hated me too but made it work. Your life led you to here. You have so many lessons and opportunities to continue to grow
My parents immigrated from Nicaragua. They have always wanted me to pursue medicine and become a doctor. I am currently a pre nursing student and that isn’t good enough! Good for you for following your heart. It takes major courage to do that. Peace and blessings.
I love the vid and wish you an amazing career. I do have two questions for you. One, as a med student, I am curious about this one. I am also considering non clinical options. So, would at least doing an intern year in residency help? Number two, would you have left medicine if you didn’t have this business plan lined up? Cheers man
@@DG-cl3gs thanks for watching! I would recommend an intern year. If I didn’t have a business already built up, my life might’ve been very different, so who knows. I’d still recommend the intern year so you can get you medical license, then if business is you’re calling you can have a lot more options
Can u go further into what u can do when u just graduated as a doctor and don’t wanna go back into clinic now you’re just lost and have no idea what to do with ur life? also having suppressed ur creativity for years, what can u get into when ur creative but graduated as a doctor

Thanks for crippling your kids with debt that legally can’t be forgiven

can you call yourself a doctor if you never went through residency?
Yes! If you pass Medical School, you are technically classified as a doctor.
Good for you!! Conventional medicine has nothing to offer. Unless you are a functional medicine doctor, you have nothing to offer to people.
Thank you! Agreed, the system is not what I thought it was
Could you elaborate on this?
You sir definitely look like "satisfied'.
what price one pay for personal satisfaction and gratification.
Cant put a price on it.
That’s the goal! Can’t put a price on fulfilling your purpose
