Someone told me this. Just to clarify: PLA is food safe, however the FDM process, where filament is melted and "drawn" out to form shapes, is a porous process, which creates an environment for bacteria to grow and thrive and isn't really cleanable. It's not a problem with the filament, but this type of printer.
I saw that "Buckeye Love" sticker on Zu's red 3DS XL. I've joked in the past about his NFL team's really awesome decision making; so, it's only right that I now congratulate Zu on his College team winning the NCAA Football National Championship. The men of scarlet and grey sure did drive up and down the field. It was beautiful. Also, this was an excellent quality review. I can't think of anyone more qualified to present an Elegoo. I can't think of anyone more qualified to cover things, old or new. I'm a big fan of the efforts of Mr. Whiskers and Gary too. Yes, it's obvious that everyone with taste appreciates Zu. I sure do.
@mattdavis9601 's comments remind me of the dialogue in Mother 3. It could be because I'm currently finishing it for GOTM, but they have the same charming vibe.
Man that printer is capable of MUCH better quality then what's in this video, something is really off. I'd definitely do the bed alignment with the paper test and thumb knobs on the bottom. Make sure Z-offset is properly set and you hit save! The default Cura settings usually produce very good to excellent results shouldn't have to mess with those.
Ok Zu, that was not you who replied. Who was this? TELL ME. If I was zu, I would have said "Yessir" and tipped my hat slightly forward with a devilish but reassuring smile. - Stubbs
Just curious, were the prints you showed at the highest... I guess resolution of this printer? I've been fascinated by the idea of buying an entry level printer to experiment with, but never really sure what to expect.
There are different fineness levels. I printed most at the basic level, but there are ultrafine options that print slower and more deliberately. It's a balance between speed and resolution, and you can scale it up and down depending on your needs.
@@retrohandhelds If you do happen to rerun one of those models with text on it at a finer print, it would be great to see the comparison in the discord.
What do you think about Zu's fancy newfangled matter creation machine? Let us know in the comments?
You have to print Dummy 13

Yet another great video Whiskers! You can tell I’m your friend because I call you Whiskers.
Thanks for the support, I appreciate it!

Only slightly disappointed you didn't print any accessories for the Virtual Boy I spied in the background.
Where did you get that cool spinning thing?
This MFer is making sense
