If this is really it for the three of you and this show, I'm a little sad yet totally understand your decision. Always entertaining to hear you all shoot the breeze, whether it be music related or else. Thanks for doing this, thanks for everything- wishing all involved nothing but the very best moving forward.
Thank you Don for the great recommendation of the band "black smoke trigger." Singers got a great voice and I love the harmonies and guitar work. Thank you for my new favorite band. Lol
right, Rudy was just a touring musician and did one cover album of the Black Sabbath stuff. I guess if you wanted to induct Blizzard of ozz, which they should, Tommy and Lee have a case.
Remember always looking in metal hammer magazine to find out when bands where touring then you would go to the venue box office to get the tickets. None of these tickets golden circle ripped off tickets or tickets going up in price as they sold like ticketmaster does now.
if Randy had lived, the double live album was going to be half and half, and called a History of Ozz. Randy definitely thought it was a step back for his career. and he was never a Sabbath fan Once Randy died, there was talk of using his versions of those 3 Sabbath songs for the live album as a tribute in 1982. But obviously, they could not do that with that album title.
You mean he wasn't an Ozzy Sabbath fan because Randy used to play heaven and Hell songs in warm ups and it pissed Ozzy off , it could have just been Randy being passive aggressive but he did take the time to listen and learn some of those songs so he had to like them on some level
According to Tommy Aldridge, Randy hated the Cleveland 81' show aka Bats Head Soup which became Tribute in 1988 minus the guitar solo spliced and 2 songs from another show. He and Randy used to listen to the cassettes after the show and Randy hated Cleveland said it was garbage. Didn't like the sound of his guitar also. Kevin Dubrow had commented Randy loved Montreal Show King Biscut and he played the tape in Kevins car when he was in LA. Too bad they had to pick Tribute in 88 when Randy hated it and Max had to try to fix some flubs and pitch changes on Ozzy. I blame Sharon for not caring and finding a better soundboard show. There are many better ones even in the bootleg circle. Also it's been said from the documentary interviews people around Randy there was not to be another studio album with ozzy after he done the live Sabbath which would have got him out of his contract contrary to what Kelle Rhoads says.
The big mistake was the editing and re-doing the vocals, a live album should be live. The original tribute sounds good to most people. Randy was a perfectionist. The solo they put on the tribute album, edited down , is not indicative of how good that spotlight solo was in Cleveland. Kevin did say the live of I Don't Know is the best live metal track song he had ever heard ,and I think it was from the King Biscuit show. They had many other shows in which to choose from according to Tommy. Not having a version of Over the Mountain was shameful. Or putting you Looking at me, Looking at you when they ended up using live show with Bob and Lee anyway was lame. No, many have corroborated that Randy said he was doing another album. He was going to do one more studio album and then go back to school, or actually while he was in school at U.C.L.A. but touring was done. Bob Daisley has this in his book, about meeting with Sharon 2 days before Randy died, as Ozzy and Sharon were about to fly back to the States to resume the tour. Rudy and Bob have similar stories. Other people who knew Randy also said he was doing another album. Sharon even tells Bob that Randy is looking forward to seeing him again.
How much would it cost to keep you guys? Break it down to what each segment would cost and maybe we can start a that rocks go fund me. Seriously I bet people would throw in some money. I would. And Jim based upon our conversation earlier the year I'm assuming you're still performing in Seattle in October? I live 2 hours South near Portland Oregon but definitely willing to make the drive and plan a business trip around it. Let me know the dates homie? Cheers to That Rocks! PNW Nick
I loved That Metal Show, but this never clicked for me. The mic quality was always terrible and they never seemed to work it out. They needed to record their audio locally, and someone sync it altogether with the video in post. Not put out the horrible zoom call audio that's always breaking up.
It is not the induction of the Blizzard of Oz band, it is the induction of Ozzy. if it were the band, where would it end? Then you'd have to induct Lemmy as part of Ozzy's band. So thats a non starter,
Ozzy should never go into the Hall as a solo artist, that is laughable. It should be the Blizzard of ozz. The 4 guys who wrote the music, and the touring guys. Lemmy was never in Ozzy's band, he merely helped write because they did not want to pay Bob Daisley a royalty
Going way down hill..the commradary is lost ..even Jim seems distant and not really into doing an episode here, & even bashes Don who's audio wasn't that bad to begin with! I've been trying since the channel started to get notifications for a new episode...Never do. Eddie's head is so big he can't even hang with his buds anymore.
The show is better without the name dropper. Jim and Discount Don Please Keep doing a show together, change the aweful name and do all topics, music, comedy, current events, dumb social media etc
Rudy has been on stage with so many legends. Dio ozzy and Randy Rhodes. Hes lucky he wasn't with dio before Ozzy because if he were sharon would never have him after Dio. That's how bitter that one is. She even had to get one up on Ronnie by making sure he wasn't the last singer with Sabbath. That's the only reason she got Ozzie to record 13. I guarantee if they hadn't reunited with dio then they wouldn't have reunited again with Ozzy for the 13 album.
Imagine if Bob and Randy had ended up with Ronnie......Ronnie did talk to Bob about forming a new band prior to him joining Sabbath, as both were done with Rainbow
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_OracleI asked Ronnie about Bob Daisly at a meet and greet at the house of blues in 2000 , and Dio said Bob was his first choice for the original Dio lineup and had even told Bob to be ready but when he went to London to scout guitar players they had no luck so he called Jimmy Bain just to ask him if he knew anyone and after he brought Vivian Campbell that Jimmy just assumed he was going to be the bass player and that he actually never officially hired him and once they started jamming that Vivian also assumed Jimmy was in so Dio said he always felt a little guilty because he was in kind of in the middle of two bass players that he really liked and just ended up going with the flow , and than Dio made a joke and pointed at Jimmy and said Ozzy should thank Jimmy for being so pushy 😂
@@victormoreno554 I said the last singer to sing with Sabbath, which would have been dio in the 2007 reunion had they not gotten back with Ozzy again and recorded 13.
Thanks for doing this guys, I really hope it comes back in a bigger capacity. I’ll be there for it 🤘🏻
Great to see a new episode. Always great to see you guys.

Thanks guys. It was nice while it lasted.
Great show guys. Please don’t stop!!!!

Don is lookin’ like Emo Phillips. Love ya’, Don!
Thanks fellas for doing this. Always entertaining and fun. I will continue supporting what you do as a group and individually. Best of luck!
Thank you!
its nice to not hear Eddie mentioning he knows this person and that person yadadaydaydayada every sentence
Black Smoke Trigger's guitar player, Charlie Wallace, has a successful guitar instruction company called Guitar Mastery Method.
Thanks guys i watched all 30
Thank you Don for the great recommendation of the band "black smoke trigger." Singers got a great voice and I love the harmonies and guitar work. Thank you for my new favorite band. Lol
Rudy is a gem
Rudy in the RnRHoFame for Ozzy? Uh, no way. Bob? Yes. Randy? Yes. Lee? Yes. Jake? Yes. These were the masterminds behind the music.
right, Rudy was just a touring musician and did one cover album of the Black Sabbath stuff. I guess if you wanted to induct Blizzard of ozz, which they should, Tommy and Lee have a case.
Nice show.
Rudy is a class act
I saw Maiden in New Zealand the other night, they’re highlighting both the Somewhere in Time and Senjutsu albums, plus a few other hits.

I have Bats Head Soup and the solo is phenomenal!
the original Cleveland show which is much better than Tribute.
Jim looks like he's wearing a sf giants ball cap. Awesome!
Can’t go wrong with Jim and Don
That rocks is great but streaming on TH-cam never goes smoothly always sone audio problem haha
Come back!
I guess it's time to accept the fact that TMS ain't ever coming back, if they can't even keep this thing together.
Could Jim be anymore miserable? 🙂
All Sinners rule
Isnt eddie heading to japan? Great to see/hear!
I know he's got a couple scheduled events this weekend and is leaving out from Chicago on Monday for Japan
Is it really that hard to get on TH-cam for an hour a month to talk rock/metal? Holy shit
Trunk not showing up for the last show really does say a lot about him and it's really not good.
I guess it really is all about the money.
