It's super fun and I use it on my Str/Faith build that I'm running currently. You can charge through multiple people, knock them up, cancel animations, it's pretty gnarly.
For PvP it has AWFUL HORRIBLE tracking and a weird hitbox that never hits even if you "visually" hits the enemy, thats why no one uses the spell is fvcking trash in pvp and in pve too if your opponent is not big.
I'm not a creator, but I have done this run glitchless (Used fists against the evergaol knight) and only using Crucible Knight items, meaning only the crucible talismans, armour and spells, but not the weapons. Currently stuck on my least favourite boss, the final one.
@@garymcjerry I'm pretty sure they do physical damage, but it's more the fact that it's impossible to tank Radagon's attack because of the crucible feather talisman which increases damage taken by 30%, and the fact that Radagon has only one opening for any of the spells and that's his massive attack which he only does in third phase. You can't even get a fully charged attack in there. Every other time you don't get hit is just RNG based.
One buff for physical damage you can get at the very start of the game in the blue dancer charm. The only downside in that you have to be very naked for it to work well
i think it’s interesting how powerful the crucible incantations actually are, considering the lore of the crucible knights kind of implies they weren’t subdued by strength alone and might have been demoralized into obeying the golden order
Just an fyi for auriza hero's grave, if you use margit's shackle right before the slope after the basilisk area it makes the chariots crash into each other. I don't know why it works but it does.
The reason it works is even though it does no damage its got a huuuuge hitbox to guarentee it shackles Mohg or Morgott and it hits the pillars that activates the light
You absolutely could have defeated rykard with the incantations, you just needed to increase your base fp pool, your flask is probably healing like 2x what your max fp currently is. It means each flask would nearly double your casts.
@TotoTriceps I mean, you call them "garbage" but I've gotten plenty of usage out of all 3 crucible spells (granted, horn is the most useful one followed by tail).
What's odd is how the Horn and Tail incantations deal physical damage, and not holy damage, so theoretically, if you got the openings down on a boss, you could forego your armor for the Blue Dancer, and get between 10% to probably 25% more damage at low equip loads. Reason I say 25% instead of the maximum 15% is because the Blue dancer talisman is pretty quirky, it's visual AR boon will always by 15% or lower, but the actual damage dealt can be as high as 50%. For example, at 10 units of equip load, bestial sling can deal 40% more damage, excluding the passive bonuses if the Cinquedea and Clawmark Seal. Same applies to the Stone of Gurranq, 16.6% more damage under the exact same conditions.
One issue equip load= poise and poise= refusing to get interrupted to enemy attacks while casting incantations crucible armors buff is good enough to screw up a lot of bosses
So me personally, if there's a fight like Rykard that is designed to use a mechanic to make the fight manageable I'd be ok with you using it if it's part of the core run. I would rather you use his weapon to beat him and let us see the final incantation than just skip it entirely.
13:48 For those who want to beat those guys if you enter and immediately throw a pot at the far corner of the room the sword knight wanders off like the Drac. Sentinel and you can fight the captain in peace as long as you stay in the first 25% of the area

I find it a bit strange how rarely you were staggering enemies throughout the run. Both incantations (when fully charged) do rather heavy stance damage. Charged Horns do 30 while charged tail does 52 split across the two swipes of the tail (13 first hit, 39 second hit). The most stance/poise most of the bigger bosses have are in the range of 80-120 with only Placidusax having more at 160. Which means at the absolute most it should take 5-6 fully charged horn attacks and less than 4 fully charged tail attacks and more likely 3-4 fully charged horns and usually only 2-3 fully charged tails.
