@BB-qr3xl Thanks very much! Should have more fashion related content coming up soon. Although I think those are all the suede jackets I currently have for now. Hehe.
I'm glad you made this video and covered the jackets you did cause I am in the market for a suede trucker. Do you prefer the snap buttons or the zipper on a suede trucker jacket? Thanks
Great video. Do you think a xl suede venice bomber jacket from reiss would fit me? It has a 42” chest. I am 5’8” 175lbs with 18” shoulders and 40.5” chest. I plan to wear a sweater under it.
It's hard for me to say for sure as sometimes the sizes vary between the different styles of jacket. It's good to have that little bit of extra room around the chest in regards wearing a sweater underneath though. Reiss generally runs true to size however its always best to try it on in stores first, if thats a possibility where you are of course.
Reiss do make a really nice suede jacket for the price. The suede itself is decent quality and all the hardware such as zips and buttons is excellent. Your tip on being patient for the sales is a good one too.
Hey man. Great vid. I also wanted to comment, suede can be worn in rain and come out with pretty much no damage at all as long as it's brushed and napped once again. I used to think suede was extremely fragile but frankly i once was caught in heavy rain with my Vans Old Skools, with a suede toe and counter, and when they dried out they felt very rigid and stiff, but after brushing the material with a hard bristle brush it felt pretty much new. And that suede wasn't even covered or treated, so i guess you can wear suede in the rain with no worries. Naturally not in the basis of like a waxed full grain jacket or stuff, but at least rain won't kill it as long as you treat it. Greetings
what you think of the Hugo Boss Jacket in Soft Suede, looks pretty slick and laid back. There's something charming about it, kind of like a cowboy / mexican drug lord or something the buttons on the front really have that laid-back boss feel to it, darn pricey but if I were to choose a single jacket for regular wear, that would be it
I think it's a very cool jacket, although personally I prefer the more minimalist version such as the Boss Malbano suede jacket. Generally depends on personal preference and which jacket you think better suits your personality.
Thanks very much! :) The sizing varies between jackets. I generally go for a large so that I can potentially layer up underneath, but a medium also works if I want a slimmer fit.
@@ConradS92 thanks a lot for your answer Conrad really appreciate it,i’ve just discovered your channel and watched a couple of your videos loved it…so for example for the Pike i should go for a size down
Roughout suede is generally tougher and more dense than the regular suede. So its basically not as soft or velvety, however it would be a bit more water resistant. Regular suede uses the inner split layer of the leather, whereas roughout uses the natural outer side of the leather.
I hang a large thin plastic bag over each jacket in my wardrobe. I hand't had to clean them yet however I'll refer you to these two videos. th-cam.com/video/yssepACFLgw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/gLaQQzNq8S8/w-d-xo.html
The sizes I go for regarding these jackets are actually quite varied depending on the particular jacket. I'm 5,10. Slim build so I usually go for a large or medium.
@@ConradS92 ok. Ive been looking at leather jackets from both brands and Tom Ford is much more expensive than gucci. Do you think there is a big difference in quality? I know they are both made in Italy
As I don't own either A Gucci or Tom Ford Jacket it is difficult for me to make a direct comparison. Both brands are highly reputable and are of great quality but both present themselves differently. I personally would prefer Tom Ford as it does seem to be more minimalist/sleek and doesn't show off the branding or logo as much as Gucci does. All depends on your preference of course when deciding between particular jackets and how much you are willing to spend. @@saccount8009
Thankyou for your easy to understand method of hand stitching leather

Could you do more videos on suede jackets or formal wear/formal shoes. Keep it up, exceptional content!

Your most welcome, looking forward to it Sir.
1:05 I went to Sweden and asked where I could find "gangsta suede" and they just looked at me with scorn.
‘gants de Suede’, is the the term. 😉😄
I'm glad you made this video and covered the jackets you did cause I am in the market for a suede trucker. Do you prefer the snap buttons or the zipper on a suede trucker jacket? Thanks
Personally, I prefer a zipper as it feels a little more secure, and I also like if it has a unique or stylish tag.
Beautiful jackets! does the Reiss Pike jacket have side pockets? I cant tell?
Yes, it has two snap button side pockets as well as one zipped pocket on the inside.
Loved your accent!

Excellent choice 👏
What a wonderful long sleeve shirt, where does one go about obtaining one?
I got mine from Uniqlo. :) It's the merino crew neck jumper in Navy.

Even if a sales assistant tries to convince you that they might not go on sale, they always inevitably do. :)

Love your selections!
Thank you. :) A few of these are out of stock or no longer showing up but I just posted the links in the description anyway.
I like it and shaved sheepskin 🙏😜❤️
I have a roughout leather jacket from master supply. I never had a suede jacket. Do you know how roughout compares to suede?
Roughout suede is generally tougher and more dense than the regular suede. So its basically not as soft or velvety, however it would be a bit more water resistant. Regular suede uses the inner split layer of the leather, whereas roughout uses the natural outer side of the leather.
Sueds are the best as trucker jackets
Is there anything you do specifically to maintain and clean these jackets?
I hang a large thin plastic bag over each jacket in my wardrobe. I hand't had to clean them yet however I'll refer you to these two videos.

What is better tom ford or gucci?
I would go with Tom Ford personally.
