For more than ten years now, I have been motivating people to listen to the Word while they sleep. Even though our bodies and souls go to sleep, our spirits are awake and can listen to the Word. In doing so, we can redeem the time we spend sleeping and invest it to feed our spirit man. It is with this thought in mind that I have begun to prepare these meditation Scriptures to make it easy for those I motivate. All they have to do is listen.
There are many themes that run right through the Bible, the Blood of Jesus is one of them. Through His Blood, Jesus won the victory over the devil, over sin and death, and because of what He did on the Cross, we too can have that victory over the world, the flesh and the devil, over sin, sickness and disease.
There is a deep need for us as Christians to know that we are more that conquerors as Romans 8:37 says, 'Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.'
Yes indeed, we are more than conquerors, but find it so hard to believe given all our failures and struggles with sin, sickness and disease.
I have put together Scriptures that will build faith in the victorious power of the Blood of Jesus, to walk in victory over all that plagues us. It would be best for you to listen to them while you sleep.
But you can also listen to it while you are cooking, or travelling. The idea is to fill our spirit man with these verses so that faith to know that we know that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, will grow and we will walk in greater victory. God's Word will become the shield unto us guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Remember the Word is like a seed, Jesus explained to His disciples in the parable of the Sower. So every scripture that we listen to is a seed that will eventually produce the Faith that we need to believe that we are conquerors in Christ Jesus. The more we sow the greater will we grow in the knowledge that we can live a victorious Christian life.
If it is while you sleep then you could pray a prayer like this, 'Father, my soul and body are going to sleep now, but I, the spirit man will turn my face to You and worship and adore you as I listen to Your Word, feed on it and be filled with faith knowledge that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.
If it is in your waking hours that you are listening then you can say to the Father, 'Lord, I open my spirit wide to listen to Your Word. Let it minister faith to my heart.' And then let it play while you work at home or commute.
