- After about 2 months of work, I’m almost back in fighting shape! I thought you guys might find it interesting to see how I’ve been working to recover from the CK Season 2 stunts I performed!
I started this year still in a lot of pain from some injuries, and finally started twice-a-week physical therapy in late March. Now, a couple of months later, I’m almost cleared to return to my full training schedule. Here’s what I’ve been up to in PT for the last couple of weeks as I get close to my release from treatment! Enjoy!

They need to implement jacket off and jacket on from the Jackie Chan Karate Kid too. Those are some important ducking techniques that needs to be used.

So much work, dedication and love going into this. It really shows in the series and I love it.
Each season I start with episode one and before I know it it isn't the end of the episode but the end of the season. The ultimate bingewatching, going bingewatching something without realising there are multiple episodes and than curse yourselve after that you have to wait so long for a new season.
Also... Hawk being a character in the series. I feel like we will see some old cast from "The Next Karate Kid" in season 4 or 5. 😎

Karate kid and his purposes inspired lot of children to practice karate. I watched the Cobra Kai series on TH-cam Red like crazy and just finished watching it again on Netflix. Overall you're my favorite character on the show along with a few others and I can't wait to see what's in store for you in season 3! It looks like your training paid off because your brutal fight scene with Tory in the season 2 finale was awesome!
Your performance in cobra kai is extremely awesome, the same goes for the other cast as well. The cobra kai series gets better with each episode. I finished watching all 4 seasons in just 1 week. Being a karate practitioner, I used to train from 2009-to 2014. Now I resumed my training 2 months ago and my goal is to win the black belt :).

I train muay thai. The series demonstates karate and taekwondo style, they snap kick with the foot its not like us where we drive force through our shin
Would love to see a video of your full training once you recover from a sprained ankle. Not that physical therapy isn't full training. Looks like you're doing great! I really like the way you make videos with quick time-lapses with narration over it to explain. Makes it really easy to watch.

Hi Mary! I love Cobra Kai and it is great to see you in one of lead roles. Please take care of yourself and no more sprained ankles :) How are the stretching exercises? As a martial artist for only three years I remember that stretching helped me avoid any injuries during that time.

I never even found out about Cobra Kai until they put the seasons on Netflix. A very good series for sure. Very cleverly written and presented, and also I’m a huge fucking fan of the 1980 KK 1 & 2 not so much 3 but anyways dam I missed Billy and Ralph. It‘a really cool to see my generation getting amongst it all and carrying on the KK legacy

Mary: when you train the roundhouse or side kicks its important that the side of youre hips shows in the same direction as the kicking foot ;-)
Yep exactly this. When I started training karate early on I didn’t twist my hips for my roundhouse and 5 years on I still suffer as I’ve pulled or torn my tendons in the groin area on my left side . Twist your hips kids

Hey, black belt in Goju-Ryu here (the real miyagi-do 🙃😉). I went through a similar ankle injury which I damaged hiking some time back. What helps me keep proper form is the "cheat step" for the roundhouse kick. It means I can pivot properly without putting a ton of strain on my ankle, which is especially useful if my the old injury starts to flair up. Ankles are weird, you sprain them once and they're never the same. Not sure if your trainers suggested this but it's just a little something I figured out along the way, hope it helps!
