I always wondered about these window containers leaking but I'm glad to hear they replaced it, I just wish it was black. I dislike the blue and green colors. How much and the shipping? As for your Ranchu, he has swim bladder it's best to put in something wide and shallow to reduce the pressure, feed way less and only sinking foods. I wish you the best
Hi I'm really hoping we get an update soon.. also just wondering why the change to the 150 tub vs the 300 gallon?...was is hard to maintain, like doing water changes?
Hey I use to see you regularly posting about your fish but it's been a while and wondered if there was an update on your tub tanks. I'm planning to do the rubbermaid stock patio pond based off your original build, but just curious how your fish are doing now!
@@baileysgoldfish5608 I would consider stopping it and switching to other foods...I had fish die with it and I know of other people who have had fish die or almost die when feeding it. I can't say for certain, but I will never use it again. Some people swear by it, but I dont think it is right for goldfish, just my opinion.
@@baileysgoldfish5608 frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp(both thawed), deshelled peas, and broccoli. I want to try eggs with them but haven't made up a batch yet.
Accidents happen and you learnt from them. I think the pond is better and going to be larger then most second hand aquariums. It might be easier to put the ranchu in a shallow setup of around 20cm depth, swim bladder disorders due to shape tend to get worse, it looks like the bladder is being restricted. Bichir or Polypterus spp. you pronounce Polypterus like Poly terous as it's Greek I think.
Like 12! How are you? Sorry to hear about your loss! Beautiful fish with a great homemade setup! Very cool! Love your videos! Have a great day, happy fish keeping and stay in touch!🐟🙂❤️👍🐠
Sorry for your losses. Sucks even the best lose fish. I lost one of my koi today. He was my black one. Showed no illness, nothing. Waters all good. Can only move forward. I'm not sure if you have this but I always have seachem Metroplex, kanaplex, and focus on hand. They are the best. FYI Oscars make more waste than a load of goldfish. Oscars will either love each other or fight to the death. If you're getting another, get one that's smaller than the one you have. Otherwise he will get beat up.
I am so sorry for your loses, that's so hard no matter what. but really excited to see your new set up. Do what you want, and what is good for your fish. Also, I feel silly, but I am a goldfish channel too and would love it if you checked out my channel. Good luck with your floaty baby. I think he'll be okay!!
Please don't buy anymore breeds that are prone to having health issues and dying. We have an issue with supporting these cute breeds but they have really crappy genetics (from a survival standpoint). Get a shubunkin or wakin instead. Or a regular oranda, not the ones with the ultra fancy rose tails. How many ranchus live to even be 10 years old? Most of us don't have the capacity to keep them for that long but goldfish are supposed to be able to live for decades not a few months under our care.
This is not aimed at Bailey in particular but I just want to spread this message to everyone. It is like buying a dog breed with breathing issues (pugs).
@@darae3936 These are ornamental fish. We do the best we can to give them good lives. They don't live as long as regular goldfish and are prone to issues, but that adds to the challenge of keeping them. I don't like long fins on fancy goldfish but I love fancy goldfish and I cant agree that I should stop keeping them just because they aren't as tough as regular gold fish.
most hobbyists will end up with ranchu dead under their care and the cycle never ends. ranchus are a 'defective' breed and its because they are very prone to problems. (pure breed pets offen have issues like ougs with breathing issues). if sustaining a ranchu long term is easy and affordable I have no big issue. just slight resentment. we should focus on hardy goldfish breeds that are easy to care for even by novice hobbyists. instead of trying to breed and select cute goldfish that are prone to issues.
@@darae3936 It's fine to have that opinion. I personally don't keep Ranchu because as you say... They are too weak and I only like very specific TVR which are too hard to find. I love Ryukins, Orandas, Telescopes, and fantails though. People will keep the types of fish they like. I personally find golf ball Pearlscales to be an absolute ABOMINATION, but I can't discourage people from keeping them. This is a hobby and people will create and keep what they find attractive.
You are over reacting. Just like solid gold does. You barely suspect a parasite or illness and immediately jump to extremes. Harsh meds etc You're so paranoid that you absolutely destroy your bb and stress the fish out so much that they die. I'm prepared to see this comment deleted or getting hate for speaking my mind. I'm sorry but what I'm saying is true. I see so many goldfish keepers, some quite famous and getting unwarranted praise.. who literally kill their fish by being paranoid. *fish barely flashes* Quick! Dump proform c in!! Get a new tank/tub! Ohh!! Better throw out that filter media too!! *2 months later* All my fish died 😔 wonder why?

The tub is AMAZING! Was the viewing window custom job or does it come like that?

What do you feed your goldfish? The type of food can me a major factor in their health.
