Our vacation was on 7/4 and we got in early were one of the few to get on first and half way through the ride it stalled for about 10 mins, I captured it all on video.
The way I see it, getting stuck on a ride like this is kinda like a privilege. You get to explore your surroundings in detail, and as you can see, A LOT of detail goes into these rides most of the time. It think its cool. :)
@thecreativekid13 we had to sit there for a half hour before they got the ride back up and running, it was a cool experience, we got 2 more rides back to back once they got up and running.
That happened to me twice in one day. I got there at 9:00 am, fast passes were sold out, line was 3 hours, we just get into our car, and they announced that the ride broke down. We came back at 8:00 pm waited 10 min, got up to the load off area, and guess what, we got stuck again, but this time we were evacuated. I was not happy.
That’s what they need! Additional lines. They do the same for Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
It's also sometimes due to bad weather. The outside portion of the track has the potential to get wet. This would definitely cause problems for the ride.
In the beginning of the video, you could see rain droplets on the windshield. When the outside track gets wet, it’s not safe to be going 60 MPH out there, so they close it down temporarily. Test track at Epcot is the same way

This is the same spot I broke down at but it was on the luigi side instead of the ramone side.

This video is 8 years before covid was a thing, and it’s also on the same year that this ride first opened.
Only reason why their "stuck" is because they got TOO MANY CARS GOING AT ONCE!!! They need to slow their pace a little bit.
