Very comprehensive and easy to follow explanations by Dr. Das. Just like other NPTEL courses, I was wondering is it possible to get the slides for this course?
In the "Working of 4 switches in half bridge converter" example, the current graph doesn't seem to be right. The current graph depicts the decline and reversal of current when the Vao voltage is +Vd. While the current fall, then change in direction of current should finally result in current rise in the direction of Vao which is +Vd. Or the Gate Signal graphs of S1 and S2 should be swapped.
I agree. Not only the diagram, the explanation is also wrong. At time t3, Gate signal of s1 is still high. Why is the conduction done through diode when the switch is still on ?
interesting lecture. very good explain
this course and the teacher are so good. please make a new course about IGBT open and short circuit fault in MMC which are so common
Well explained...

Thank you so much!
too good. speechless
