- Eight Guidelines for the defence to help you discard the right cards

The hands played are:
1. Keep 4-card length with dummy tinyurl.com/y86fc6e2
2. Keep 4-card length with dummy and declarer tinyurl.com/ydgygssp
3. Keep one card in partner’s long suit if you think you may get in again tinyurl.com/y7s9eqtg - also protect your Kx. If both defenders have kept hearts, declarer should not risk the spade finesse, and will be held to 9 tricks.
4. Follow declarer discards tinyurl.com/yx8tlnmy
5. East discarded a low heart, so should NOT have A or K - declarer has those, so your QH should be protected! tinyurl.com/ytg4sve7 - เกม
Very valuable - a subject not often covered.
I'm not sure I agree on the first hand. Clearly with the hands open it is good to throw the spades. But I don't think the spade 6 clearly shows the K. It's not that low (23 are still out as are 78). Furthermore, it seems very dangerous for West to break spades if they have the K.
Probably another way to play is to hope declarer misses the diamond J, therefore unguarding clubs. Maybe there is another inference that this play is wrong
Thanks!
