I got mine cause the local guy had it on sale. I love SP - the heritage unit is interesting. What would be grew though is a whole fleet of locos painted in SP Blood Nose. :)
No I was only wondering this because they usually just slap flashing ditch lights on everything and no I dont want the flashing feature because it isnt correct for a UP ACe, thanks alot!! Btw I wouldnt know how to program anything Im still new to DCC lol
can you start these new sd70ace manually with out autostart enabled? and is the generator in the back or of thec ab or at the rear end of the locomotive?
Anyone know where I can still buy them? It is like they all just, "disappeared." I would really like to get the MP heritage unit, as it has been the only one I have seen in person. Any info will help!
Actually, no they don't. I believe the only ones that do would be the Norfolk Southern units, because, as Athearn says in their manual, the NS is the only prototype railroad that is using the alternating/flashing ditch lights. It's really easy to reprogram the CVs to make your ditch lights flash, though.

You can probably find them on eBay or Amazon. I see them more often than not.
