I see why you love this city! The city planners have very wisely kept the majority of the buildings beneath a certain height. The mountains and the harbour have been allowed to dominate the area. Beautiful sight lines. And the hotel just oozes serene comfort. I love how the hotel cozies right up to the water. Lovely video.

I have been a number of times to this hotel for dinner with friends and met some in different rooms which are lovely. I love the Cape Dutch antiques. Its difficult to compare it to the One& Only hotel which I really love for its oasis style . The proteas arrangements are a real favourite of mine too. Having LIVED IN Frsnaye CAPE TOWN FOR MANY YEARS I am probably biased in saying its MY favourite city in the world. It has so much to offer. Sun, Sea, Winelands not far, and also game reserves too and the best drives in a convertible car like Chapman's Peak. The Mountain is just a wonder to behold. Its diversity in peoples and culture. Going to 2 oceans is incredible. The weather may be cloudy on your side of the mountain but just call to Kalk bay and you'll find out that the weather is fantastic so off to Fishoek beach and the fabulous warm water. The Atlantic beaches are great in the hot summer months and a dip in the "refreshing Atlantic sea is just what you need when its 35°C + with no wind believe me. Sandy Bay. Horse riding on Noordhoek Beach is just stunning. Or going to Groot Constantia wine tasting. Kistenbosch Botanical gardens are sublime for the ultimate relaxed day out. The food is unbelievable in Cape Town such variety to suit every pocket. South Africa is great if you are travelling using £, € or $ too. My opinion.... get on a plane as soon as possible... you won't regret at all. Regards Richard

A stunning film. The hotel looked so beautiful and Cape Town looks magnificent.
My interest in Cape Town was aroused decades ago, when I first read Christie's The Man in the Brown Suit. I would like to go there one day, preferably one day soon! The low-rise nature of the city reminds me of Adelaide, albeit with a more spectacular setting.

My favourite city/town is currently Granada, Spain. 😊 But who knows if it will still be so in some years time.

Cape town is amazing, but IMO the most beautiful town in the world is Sydney. Second is Krumlov in Czech Republic. Krakow in Poland, especially its old town, is magnificent too and IMO one of the most beautiful in Europe. Have you ever been there?

Krumlov is awsome. Located on banks of Vltava river, with castle in the middle looks like town from a fairy tale. It's worth to see. You would be impressed, believe me.

Speaking of travel tips, there are some amazing places in Poland worth to see. I could recomend you if you like.
