She definitely got a ear for harmony, vocal arrangement and music composition while producing a awesome sound at the end. 'We Belong Together' is NOT an easy song to sing. You gotta have lungs to carry that song. The phrases/verses are tight
Only Mariah Carey can do a climax of a song in the fifth octave and actually make a run in the last word of each long phrase this song has, somehow she manages to have enough air to do it
And you have to super quick. For the last chorus you habe like a total 58 Words and 25 seconds of time... to the last together is belted for like 11 seconds So you have 0,47 seconds per word. Which is as fast as nicki minaj or Eminem or Busta Rhimes
@@MarcoKitzer Agreed. However I would not pair her with Nicky, Busta or Eminem. IRap is basically fast declamation fancy for speaking fast (no hate to rap music or rappers whatsoever) In Mariah's case she actually never sacrifices her Mellisma in order to sing fast phrases. She sort of develops a "bouncy rhythm" to deliver the lyrics elegantly, fast, with great diction and resonance. But fast rapping by Mariah you can refer to Prisioner with a full bridged rap, and then listen to Obssessed, she has a constant declamation tempo, however she worries of the key changes to not sound flat, give a more dynamic vocal rendition.
3:46 I don’t think she can do a whistle tone and belt words at the same time. That section looked funny....was it just me? Marco, I love your voice, I could talk to you all day...I will give you English lessons.
