Thank you very much for this! Im so sad you dont upload anymore. Yes there arent much people these days learning CAD/CAM. But im soooo thankfull to this videos since im in love with inventor.
Hey @Fernando, that's for the comment, glad that the videos are useful! Yes, there isn't much in the way of Inventor learning online which is a great shame because it's a brilliant software and great fun to learn! Enjoy your weekend!
Ben türkiyede Yurtici kargo A,Ş firmasında amele olarak çalışıyorum emekli oldum.Halen çalışıyorum ve boş zamanlarımda çizim yapanları takip ediyorum tv izlemiyorum kitap okumuyorum ve spordan arabalardan hiç anlamam ama çizim konusunda yetenekli olduğumu keşfettim ve şu an devam ediyorum çizimlerimi facebook ta paylaşıyorum zaten ..amerikaya selamlar
I am 53 years old and I learned drawing by myself 5 years ago as a hobby. My English is not good and I did not take any lessons or go to a course for this job but I decided to continue with the same drawings for 5 years with Solitworks, ZW3D, AutoCAD and now with Autodesk Invertor which I like and enjoy the most. I work as a laborer at Yurtici Kargo A.Ş. in Turkey and I am retired. I still work and follow people who draw in my free time. I do not watch TV, I do not read books and I do not know anything about sports or cars but I discovered that I am talented in drawing and I continue to do so now. I share my drawings on Facebook anyway. Greetings to America
I think it would be massively helpful if you had an additional overlay showing what keys/inputs you're pressing. I'm having a hell of a time following you as a complete beginner, but thanks anyway for putting these up
To second myself and give an example, I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out how you just drew a single line (0:37), while I kept getting two lines:the original with no dynamic input box, and confoundingly, a second perpendicular one. Turns out I had to press [shift] to just get that single line. AND I still can't figure out how holding the left mouse button (0:46-0.48) transitioned you into arc creation. The whole time I thought it was a change in functionality between my 2022 edition vs the 2021 edition you're using. I was looking forward to your series of short videos, but honestly I just spent 10x the time confused. If it was me, I'd probably reshoot the video with clearer instructions and input overlay software because this really isn't a good tutorial for a new user. It's second nature to you, clearly, but at "Exercise 01", we don't know these techniques.
Hi SteelKage, thankyou for the feedback. I understand exactly where you are coming from. I apologize that throughout each of the tutorials I have uploaded I am working at a particularly fast rate and am using intermediate - advanced sketch techniques. On review, I do concur that these tutorials are not suitable for those learning the software from scratch. I'll try to help you where I can though: Regarding the Dynamic Input boxes they should show when using any sketch tool, there is an option to active/ de-active these boxes by going to Tools --> Application Option --> Sketch --> and Tick the 'Enable Head up Display (HUD)' checkbox. For the shortcut used to create 'tangent arcs' from the end point of a line - Hover the curser over the endpoint of the line and hold down the LMB and drag to where you wish to arc to finish. I've used Inventor 2016-2021 and this technique has always been present, I am not sure if it has been removed in 2022 version mind. I will investigate when I upgrade. Free free to email any technical questions such as the above - I'll respond by uploading a video where I can, my address is cadchris2021@gmail.com I understand you are a new user to Autodesk Inventor, I would give two pieces of advice: 1. Just like coding, regular practice is essential. I would recommend experimenting with the software and its tools (particularly sketch tools/ techniques) on a daily basis and attempting to draw an array of day to day objects (i.e. a table, chair, laptop, brackets etc). Four years ago, I was unable to work for a prolonged period of time, I found that on return I had lost fluency, efficiency and even understanding of how some tools functioned. 2. I have created a playlist on TH-cam called 'Inventor for Absolute Beginners - Essential Tutorials for Autodesk Inventor 2021'. This is a 11 part course introducing the fundamentals behind the software. However, I've had feedback previously that the content is 'too slow' but it's still available on TH-cam if it is of any use to you. If you go on my channel under playlists you will see it there. Below is a link to a tutorial which creates a generic part and is designed for complete beginners, this is what I would refer to as a 'step by step' tutorial. Can you please tell me if this is more suitable for beginners and anything you would like me to add on top of it? If it is useful, I will create a new series with this level of detail. th-cam.com/video/v6FUILDnNck/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AutodeskInventorTutorials Regards, Chris
@@AutodeskInventorTutorials Thank you for your thoughtful reply, Chris. I was able to follow along the first video in the newbie playlist. I did note you were quick in these higher level vids, but since they can be manually slowed down, that wasn't an unassailable issue. It was mostly following what I was seeing (to the best of my understanding) and getting different outcomes. Oh well! Just in case you were wondering, the HUD/input boxes is enabled in my application so that wasn't the issue (and I was getting them, it was just not in an expected manner as I had seen you do). I'm probably doing something wrong by misunderstanding your instructions, for example, the tangent line shortcut works now. I don't even know what I was doing before. And again thank you for your advice, I'm trying to practice when I can to get into the habit/mindset.
Glad I can help and best of luck progressing with the software! I've worked on a variety of CAD platforms but have found Autodesk Inventor to be more on the 'user friendly' side of things so you've selected a good software there. It is just a case of commitment and passion for design.

No problem, I had a great time doing these tutorials and am glad to see they are helping students globally.
Great work man! There`s definitely a lack of training material in regards to Inventor online, hopefully you can keep up with the channel.
Cheers

Nice work !! Greetings from the Netherlands
Thank you @DieCorrector, Merry Christmas!🎄🎅
Excellent
I think we made this exact shape in my 9th grade intro to engineering class
