  • Chipping Campden is one of several quaint villages in the Cotswolds in England. It started out as a market town ("Chipping" means market) in the 12th century and was built up by revenue from the wool industry. Many of the buildings you see are several hundred years old: We visit High Street which features many of the main buildings, including Town Hall, Market Hall, the Malt House, and the Grevel House, where we speak to Sam, a local who gives us some insights into Chipping Campden. We also see St. Catherine's Church and St. James' Church and cemetery, whose churchyard has graves going back to the late 17th century. There's a lot of rich history and architecture in Chipping Campden, and I'm really glad we got to stay there.

One thing I've learned from these videos is how the increase in car ownership has screwed the authenticity of these towns.
