Thank you! I'm hoping to catch a lot more snow this winter out and about. This was my first time filming in the snow and it was definitely a learning experience.

This is beautiful 💖 Didn't know it snows this much in Amanohashidate in winter. May I ask around when was this filmed? We're planning a trip to Amanohashidate next winter, and would love to catch the snow there too. Thank you!

Thanks! I filmed this walk in the last few days of January. I saw the weather report called for snow so I drove up from Hyogo. I arrived the day before this walk and there was no snow on the ground, but I did see a few small specks on the nearby mountaintops. The region does seem to get routine snow and they are equipped to handle it with snow plows and even heated roads with warm water sprinklers to melt the snow. I don't live in the area so I'm not totally sure, but my sense is that if you have a somewhat flexible schedule in January or February you could time the snow - or just go there and see what happens. It is a very nice region, I'd also recommend checking out Ine, a little fishing town just up the road, and Kanabiki Falls is a beautiful waterfall about 15 minutes from Amanohashidate by car. Hope you have a great trip next year!
