Great makes. Crystal of BagODay crochet has many cute baby items to make.
Thanks so much. I will surf through Crystal's channel
That's who I go to for baby clothes too. The dresses are really quick and easy to stitch up. I have 3 granddaughters and all of them have at least one of Crystals dresses.
Majovel has some nice baby clothes. And Crochet for Baby. Both on You Tube.
Great makes Debbie and I love your hexi jumper
Hi Debbie! A few of the baby blankets that I made recently have been on Daisy Farm Crafts website. Some really cute ones there... Happy for you that the gathering with your family was so much fun!
Awesome! Thanks so much
Hi Debbie, glad you had a wonderful time with your family, I know it's hard trying to get them all together when they don't live close but always great to get together! I love it!!! Your blankets are lovely Congratulation's to your neighbor on beeping coming a grandmother! Always great to see you Debbie Happy Blessed Healthy New Year To You and your Family!!! Hugs Liz x
Daisy farm crafts has some adorable baby stuff!!
I'm still a beginner crocheter, and so I found the channel Maisie and Ruth had beautiful baby blankets, sweaters, and booties. Her tutorials were so easy to follow and understand!
Wow!!! You are right. She does have a ton of baby items to crochet. I was not aware of this channel but now, thanks to you, I will definitely check it out. Thank you
You're very welcome, and glad I could offer a suggestion for you!@@CanadianCrocheter
I really like the, “Call The Midwife” for a baby blanket. Easy to do and comes out beautifully.
I have seen that pattern. You're right, it looks easy and beautiful. Thank you
Love the blanket and sweater!
Hi Debbie, hope you are well ...nice to see you again. So nice to have family close at the holidays ;) Yes .. adult children and also grandkids are the best!! Have a wonderful day, Sunshine xo
Thanks so much Donna😊❤️
Hi Debbie, good to see you
Debbie , I miss Dina too ! She has taken a full time job , moved to her Mom’s house and has not been posting in a long time . Sure miss her . Your blanket is lovely
Thanks so much for he update on Dina😊❤️
Hi Debbie, so happy that you and your family had such a wonderful holiday celebration. The tree is so cute. The blankets are awesome.Take care.🧶😊🩷
Thanks so much😊
Those are wonderful makes. The blankets are gorgeous 😍. Love that sweater. Take care
Thank you! 😊
Fun family time!!! Always great projects!! I’ve made Bag-O-Day Crochet Tutorial #283 Newborn Baby Bunting Cocoon several times to gift and everyone loves them!
That is awesome! Thank you so much
I think the sweater looks good. Look at it again with new eyes
Thanks but I have tried again and again and I really don't like it. I might be able to find a friend who would love it
I am so glad that your family get together was nice. That tree looks like such a fantastic idea and I'll check it out for next Christmas. 😉
I always enjoy seeing your FOs, because you get so many good-sized projects done. That Hex Cardi looks great. I always like to see what you consider a "dud". So far, the items that you call "duds" or failures are always pretty cool.
Looking forward to seeing some your current WIPs become FOs. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Awww...you are too kind. I consider it a dud if I won't wear it or use it. But I guess everyone's taste are different and unique
Awesome that you had a wonderful time with your family! Love the instant Christmas tree idea! Your blankets are awesome! Hmmmm.... I agree that the top didn't quite work! Oh well.... we all have items that look great on the pattern, but not necessarily great on us!! My fave baby cardi is a pattern I've crocheted 15 times, mostly for charity, & each time I've created a different look with it as it's easy to add different colour cuffs & collar or stripes or different stitches on it etc etc. It's the Top Down Baby Jacket by Donna Wilby which is a free pattern on Ravelry using DK yarn.... although I've also crocheted it in preemie size with sport weight yarn. If you check out her pattern & click on all of the photos of other projects using this pattern it will give you more ideas. Love it!! AND.... it's fast... only needing to sew up the sleeve seams & sew on buttons. Hope you like it! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Love the scrap blankets they look squichy ❤
Thanks...and they are are very squishy😊😊😊
Hiya friend!
So happy you and the family had such a wonderful time! Sounds just perfect!
Ohhhhh I definitely know what your talking about!!!! Welcome to “Startitis” Club! 😂
Oh gosh … so many wonderful channels for crochet baby stuff: ❤
1 channel I made loads of stuff from literally is called: Crochet for Baby ❤
Love LoVe the scrappy blanket!!!! 😍 You make great knit dishcloths. My son loves them too!
Temperature blanket turned out beautiful too! I have made it a point to check other areas of any store for quilting/sewing or craft supplies.. not only are they usually waaayyyy better quality but cheaper too! It’s like if it’s labeled “craft” the price jumps! 😮
Awww I think the hexi cardi turned sweater looks good on you! I would add to cuffs but the addition of the collar is a fantastic idea! Also, as far as baby items…. Since you sew as well, I made spit up / burp cloths. I used diapers ( the kind you buy and wash ) and super cute baby cotton or flannel prints. Loads of tutorials online. They work up so fast and look adorable and come in very useful. Use up some of that fabric stash too! 😜 Great to see you! Looking forward to seeing all those “wip’s” you speak of! Same here girl. Same 🤭
Thanks for the suggestion.
I now never let hubby go to his "man" stores alone🤣🤣🤣. I always find something for myself
If you know (or will know) the new baby's name, one thing I love to do is make a hanging name "plate" using Mosaic crochet. I have made one for each of my partner's grand-kids and they all use them to hang on the kids' room doors. it's so cute.
What a great idea!!! Unfortunately I don't think we will even find out the sex of the baby. I think they want to keep it a surprise
I’m brand new to knitting and I’ve made a LOT of those Grandma’s Favorite dishcloths. Great way to practice and who cares if you mess up on a dishcloth? When I run out of one color of yarn, I use a different color on the decrease end. I love making the 2 color ones.
I love all your makes. Especially the squishy blankets.
Perfect!!!! Awesome way to practice, use up all the yarn AND get something beautiful and practical❤️❤️
Happy to hear you had a great get together with your family. It is bitter cold here too. We had a few days that it was -7 with a wind chill of -23 Fahrenheit. -17 Celsius is 1.4 in Fahrenheit. So we were a little colder in temp but how ever you want to look at it both temps are way to cold. After it gets below 20 it all feels the same. Stay warm, stay safe, and stay happy. May 2024 be a better year.
Exactly! After a certain temperature, it all feels the same😁
Hi Debbie. Nice to see you. I’m glad you had a great time with your family. Great picture! I love your blankets! They look so warm and cozy! We are having a real cold snap down here in the northeast US. -17 Celsius is 1.4 Fahrenheit. We are going down to 9 Fahrenheit so you’ve got us beat but it sure is cold! Those blankets are sure to keep you or their recipients nice and warm. I love making washcloths for a quick project. Kudos to you for what you did with that cardigan. Even though you’re not thrilled with it, you really do know how to step outside the box. Your collar and seam make it work. Way to go. Stay warm friend!😊
awww....you are so sweet. Thank you
😍
Hi Debbie.Nice to see you
Thanks for stopping by😊
I crocheted cocoons or papooses without patterns for potential grandchildren. I told them I may not live long enough to see them but they can store the sets. Blanket, hats, etc.
I am tempted to make baby boxes for my unborn grandchildren😊
Love the blankets!
Thank you
Hey Debbie! Good to see you again.
Thanks Lynette😊❤️
Beautiful blankets. I made a lot of dish cloths and dish towels both knit and crochet for my daughter. I enjoy making them. The cardi is pretty.😊
Thanks. Isn't it great when others appreciate our craftiness??
MJ’s off the hook baby granny pop pullover. It’s a wonderful pattern.
Awesome!!! Thanks so much
Love the blankets! I too have startitis...it is a great way of life. Happy New Year!..Nonie Lee
Happy new year! And yes, it is a great way of life
Yes Mis Deb I have startitius all the time that's why I have a galore lol
We are the same🤣🤣🤣
The blankets are awesome. The sizes and colours are very nice! 😊
Thank you! 😊
So glad you enjoyed time with your family. Bag ObDay has great baby patterns
Thanks so much and I will peruse Crystal's channel
Sirins crochet has beautiful baby cardigans. I have made a few.
Thank you! 😊
Love your top.. you always do fabulous work. Pretty blankets, I need to finish my temperature blanket. I'm still stuck in July hahaa
What a great idea for those scissors. My fingers get hella swollen too.
Beautiful family friend. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years was just Chop and me.. we had a nice time.. Happy New Year
You need to get yourself some fishing line snips. They are a game changer!
I'd recommend the leaf and lace layette set...it's old (from the 50s I believe) but simple and easily memorized...what about just a simple corner to corner blanket...the pullover% cardigan came out beautifully..
That looks like a great pattern. Thank you so much
There is a pattern for a baby sweater using the hexagon pattern , just make the 2halves as large as needed for the baby.
Love your blankets. The bright cheerful colors. Planted the seed I was trying to ignore, a temperature blanket. Have to many wips now.
what's another wip???!!!🤣🤣🤣 just add another one to the list.
Thanks so much for the suggestion
I really like your sweater!
Thanks😁
I’m going to be a Baba (grandmother) at the end of the month! Gender is a surprise so I’m anxiously waiting to see what I will be knitting/crocheting. ❤️🧶
I refuse to be called "Baba" because that is what they call my mom!!🤣🤣🤣
So they have decided to use Gigi. Congratulations on your upcoming Baba status!!
Happy new year Debbie. All my babies’ patterns are from books but you can make a layette, blanket, cardigan, hat and gloves.
I love your blankets, beautiful and you have given me and idea of what to do with my 1 or 1.5 skeins of blanket yarn.
Awesome!! I am glad you will start a scrappy chunky blanket. Now that you mention it, I had a lot of older crochet books. I am going to flip through them
Happy New Year, Debbie! Your hexi top is lovely and looks great on you. As far as baby patterns, I like the Beloved hat by Tin Can Knits and the Tiramisu crocheted baby blanket. thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I just downloaded both patterns and they are in my queue 😊
Crochet for baby has beautiful baby patterns. Glad you had a great holiday with your family.
Thanks so much. I have seen some of the content. I think I need to do a deep dive
Crochet for baby also has a chanel with knit versions
@@richelorelia4110 awesome
Hiya debbie! Glad the get together was a success! If you go to bagoday youll have lots to choose from for baby things. Enjoy.
Thank you, I will😁
The Flax sweater by Tin Can knits in different weight yarns would be a perfect sweater for baby. The pattern starts from 0 - 6 months and is in 19 different sizes. This is a favourite go to pattern of Jude/Stranded Dye works if you want to see how they’ve knit up in different yarn weights and colour ways 🧶🧶🧶🙋♀️
yes! I started one last year, made a glaring mistake and frogged it. I think I should try again. Thanks for the reminder
Pretty sweater
Thank you 😊
I love the idea of the sweater but I would need different sleeves they would drive me nuts
and they do drive me nuts as well🤣🤣
MJ's has cute granny cardi and baby pullover pattern. I sent you pics of several sweaters back in Nov. Let me know if interested. I like your cardi more than any other hexi cardi I've seen. Yours has more style., great color too!!!! Not sure why you are on the fence. Didn't see what you objected to. Again your blankets are always so pretty. Great new yarn at Michaels perfect for children is Loops and Threads Ombre Hues. The colors are gorgeous!!!! I bought several colors and I'm in love with everyone. Funny what we talked about today is in your video,. Patons Classic Wool....felting, great! LB FIsherman is also good. Enjoy your chaos, lol!!!
I didn't see the ombre hues at the Michaels I went to. I just looked online and they do have great colours. Looks like I'll be putting in an order😁
My favorite baby patterns are Amish puzzle balls and Amamani puzzle balls by Dedri Uys. I believe they were both paid patterns. For free parterns, thumbless mittens by stitch4ever and the wavy ripple blanket by yarnspirations are my go tos. Enjoy!
Thanks so much. I just looked up all those patterns and love them all although I must say that even though the Amamani pattern looks fabulous, it might be out of my realm. I am not good at amigurumi😁
Bonnie Bay has beautiful patterns. I did the Baby Feet Baby Blanket and Abigail blanket.
@BonnieBayCrochet
I just looked up the pattern and it is super cute!!! Thanks
Beautiful blanket is that chunky wool looking for a scrappy blanket i have worst weight yarn so cold out here brrrrr
You have a beautiful family! Having adult children is awesome. I have five adult children (one passed two years ago) and no grandchildren yet,,, and three spouses of our children,, Christmas is not as complicated as it will be one day if grandkids come along!
I love the instant tree decor that you showed,, so fun. Family is everything!! Doesn't matter where or when,, just as long as you're together!
Life is short. Always great to see you and what you have been working on, Debbie. Have a wonderful 2024.
I agree with what you wrote. Family is everything. I wish for a wonderful 2024!
Hi Debbie :) nice to see you.
hey you!!!! How is married life treating you??? You need to do a video!!
Baby hand, no scratch mitts. 🧶
Awesome idea!!! Thanks
Hi Debbie your family holiday sounds fantastic! Your blanket s are gorgeous! Happy crafting Kaye x
Thanks so much. We did have a ton of fun. Happy crafting to you as well
I love the colorful blankets. I’m so glad you had a great vacation. Stay warm 🙂
Thank you! You too!
I like the baby blanket by Secret Yanery called Easiest Baby Blanket Evver!! It's the sober granny stitch. I've made a few of them.
Awesome! I will look up that pattern. Thanks
Baby blanket with lovey to match, are a big hit with all of my daughters friends at the hospital here in NovaScotia. ❤❤❤
fabulous idea!! thanks
So glad your family time was wonderful. I have lots of wips too.
I think many of us are suffering from startitus this time of year
I live in Ontario. Glad I found you 😊
how awesome!!! Where in Ontario do you live??
Sorry for the late reply. I did not see your comment
@@CanadianCrocheter Kitchener, Waterloo area. Do you know where that is? About 1 hour west of Toronto
@@CandyDettweiler-bf8cf I sure do. My son lives in Cambridge 😁
@CanadianCrocheter awesome. I live in the small village of Maryhill
Hi Debbie! So happy you had a fantastic visit with all your family! Lucky you to have grown children that cook so you can relax with the grandchildren. When I visit my daughter, she always has a list of things she wants me to cook or make. It may be easier this summer since I am going on a cruise with her and my 2 grandchildren. I love the blankets you have made. You always make the prettiest things. I hope you are staying warm and toasty. Take care!
Oh I have requests for premade food as well but mostly from my single sons🤣. I hope your cruise is fantastic!
Allison Russell crochet has nice easy patterns for babies hats sweaters and blankets etc.
Awesome!! Thanks so much
Total blessings and crochet 😊TGIF ❤
Thank you very much😊
Simona Crochet, for lots of baby and toddler items , Sirin's Crochet and Ruby Stedman are my favorites for everything . I like the blue and white cardigan you made.
OMG!!! I have not heard of Simona Crochet!! I love all of the designs!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I have made 3 baby blankets for my granddaughters. First was the Daphne afghan by Toni at T L Yarncrafts. Second was Babys First Christmas afghan by Creative Grandma (just used different colours). Thirdly I did a waffle stitch blanket - it's lovely and super warm but it took a while and was a yarn eater. Loved them all. xx
I have made the Daphne and it is great but I will look up the others. Thanks
It's great to hear that you had an awesome Christmas. Blessings for 2024. 💜🤗❤️
Thank you! You too!
I’m so happy for you and your family celebrating Christmas all together, in the snowy mountains!! We used to do this once a year, either at Christmas or Easter - around 30 of us. We all took turns with meals, desserts, snacks. We skied, hot tubbed it, hiked, played games, watched movies, had great discussions, great laughs, read books, extra cuddles with the littles. Just relaxed and enjoyed being together!! We all have such special memories of those times - from the oldest to the youngest!! It means so much, especially now that some of the older ones are gone but never forgotten.🥹 I love how easy that Christmas Tree is!! I will look it up. Sometimes we towed our cargo trailer stuffed to the doors, depending on where we were staying and what was supplied!😱 Lol😂 I love your scrappy blankets!! They look so cozy and unique! Your temperature blanket turned out great! I always look forward to your videos to see all your finished projects, your wips and listening to your ideas!! Your are so talented!! Happy New Year!!🤗😘🇨🇦
Oh it sounds like our trip. Lots of the same things going on from the laughter to the truck full of stuff😁
Hahaha 😛
“Stay away from all this business around here” LMAO 🤣 🤭
That line just cracked me up 🤪😝
I really love your scrappy blanket! I’ve been wanting one like this too but have to use a bunch of my full balls of blanket yarns first to get me some scraps lol
I still have plans and have blanket yarn picked out to make a scrappy robe like you made awhile back. 😜
Sounds like you had a great time with family on vacation . Which one was your hubby in the picture?
🥰😘🥰
I have been using the robe around the house lately because it is cold🤣
My hubby is the one with the yellow hoodie. Believe it or not, the other bearded guy beside me is my son in law
@@CanadianCrocheter
Ya we here in Florida had a cold front over last week and weekend. Cold for here that is. Lows were 35 with feels like temperatures at 26 🥶
Was a great family photo 🥰
Jayda Institches has lots of babies item that are easy to hard crochet patterns. Most Americans are have been dealing with cold weather and chill factor even southern state.
Thanks so much. I will look at Jayda's patterns
Lauren-riker on ravlry has a pattern called the owl in one for babies. She is girlyknits here on TH-cam and was on fiberfactor about 10 years ago. That is on TH-cam also. If I knit that is what I’d make .
WOW!!! That pattern is gorgeous but I am not sure I have the skillset to make it but thank you for introducing me to this designer and her youtube channel. She's adorable and has some fabulous designs
I recently have been making a blanket and amigurumi in matching colors for baby gifts! I've made turtles, a seahorse, a unicorn the possibilities are endless!! You could also sew burp cloths with some of your material. You can get some terrycloth to put on one side and a cotton print on the other. Love that scrappy blanket!!
Awesome idea about the terry cloth! Love that idea
The sweater is really nice. I actually like how you did yours. Better than the original pattern. The collar is perfect!
Awwww…. Thank you so much.
I have Startitis too😊. Flannel burp cloths and bibs are fast and useful. I think I have a pattern for little moccasins somewhere: you know where to find me❤
I love the bibs and burp cloths. Will contact you with measurements or help on the bibs
Hi there.
☺️ I like the pullover but i agree, it could use some tweeking, lol
You and me both🤣🤣
Love your scrappy blanket!! What blanket yarn is that, brand? What stitch are you using also. Thank you for your time! Love your channel!!
Thank you very much.
I used leftover Bernat Blanket yarn with a 9mm hook. Chained 100 for the throw size and then just hdc for the rest of it. I did not colour control. I just added whatever colour I pulled out of a big bag.
Hope that helps
The blankets are beautiful and the cardigan, when you return we'll still be here. I'm working on 2 throw blankets, questioning if I should start a third lol.
Yes!!! Start the third!!!! It will make me feel better🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful blankets as always! The temperature blanket has fabulous colours! I like the idea of your sweater but I’ll admit it’s probably not the most flattering thing I’ve seen you wear 😅😉😍 I know those ends are still there because you’re gonna tweak it & get the sleeves more how you want them. Startitis is real! The way things are shaping up I’m gonna have a granny centric year. So glad you all had such a nice time together! Stay warm my friend! 🤗🧶💜
Nope! Not touching that sweater again. I'm so over it.
Thank you, my friend! You stay warm as well
Deb, could you please tell me about that scrappy blanket that everyone in your family wants? You mentioned once before and I did not write it down 😢
Now for the baby items.. don’t do booties because they fall off unless they tie on. Really tho, no tired mother wants to tie on booties so knit baby socks??… or just focus on a sweater and hat combo. That would be unique👍🏼and practical along with a crib size baby blanket. Don’t forget those loveys( crochet a little blanket around a stuffed toy). Make sure the toy is baby proof and washable. Just sharing what popped into my head😂🎉
you make an extremely valid point about the booties!!! I have forgotten.
As for the scrappy blanket yarn blanket, It is just leftovers and I used a 9mm hook and hdc and I didn't colour control at all. In the beginning, you think that those colours don't work together but at the end it just works well. for a throw size, I chain 100 but if you want it bigger, just chain more
Glad you had a wonderful family Christmas. The blankets are so pretty the sweater is so cute!! Always so good to see you 🤗 stay warm 🌝
Thank you! You too!
Hi
TH-cam
Crochet baby kimono
I make these cause no buttons and go down a hook size if it's 6mo. And I want it smaller. They also have knit ones.
I so enjoy you😂❤
Awesome! I love that! Thank you so much
Baby's Best Bumpy Blanket by Tanya Nassar is a free pattern on Ravelry that I've made twice. I'm using the Hag Stitch (which would make a great baby blanket) to create a throw for my sister. She moved to a new apt in October so I figured she was due for a "housewarming" present since this is the first time she's moved in 10 years, lol.
-17C in F is F**KING COLD, lol!! It's 1.4F. No...just NO, lol.
I'm with you and it's not like the girls can me missed so I do NOTHING to draw anymore attention to them, lol.
🤣🤣🤣I feel the same about my girls!
And thanks for the pattern idea. I just downloaded the pattern
I usually just go to BOD
Gotcha! Thanks so much
Hi Debi, Your sweater is cute. I hate it when you spend time making something and it doesn't turn out how you want. I'm making a highlander shawl and ripped and ripped then found a new pattern and almost done. Pamelas adoring crochet on etsy has some cute baby cardigans and simple to make.
Awesome! Thanks so much. I will go over and take a look
Just finished a commission. Love your cardi. I think it turned out great.
Awww...you are too sweet. Thank you
I love your temperature blanket. I made one a couple of years ago and only got to use one row of my red for high temperature. But I still love it. I used DK and single crochet so it wouldn’t be too huge. I like the idea of a high and low per week in larger yarn , maybe I will make another one.
Oh I love the idea of using a tall stitch and then a short stitch for a temperature blanket! That's genius!!!
The site i mentioned to you has baby romper patterns all sizes
Awesome!!
I like your hexicardi idea. I think sometimes it's hard to know how it will be on my body shape too. I've taken to looking at people in pictures that look like me, have the same body shape, and then decide to make that pattern. The optical effect is fun. I love your blankets , they are beautiful. I have some yarn coming for a blanket for my son so I'm excited to start that too. I know what you mean about startitis I've got it too!! We've been gone for three weeks for the holidays and only home a week now so I'm trying to get back into my groove. I'm excited about crocheting I just need to unpack all the "stuff we packed"! And some of it was yarn I bought while in Pennsylvania so I'm excited to again "start" something with that!! Have fun with the baby things, I don't have patterns but the one thing my DIL told me is that she can use all sizes of blankets. I was trying to make blankets the size "they" say but she says she uses all sizes for different things and really appreciates them all. I made a pregnancy temperature blanket for both of my grandkids and it's long, it's single crochet and it's perfect for the floor for babies. My grandson, now 3, loves to wrap up in his to watch TV. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy that's what it's all about too. God bless you Debbie 🙏❤️🤗
Wow! A pregnancy temp blanket sounds fabulous!! You are fabulous for making that
Thank you, it was a great way to await the birth of our first grandchild. And later his sister. When they told us she was pregnant and the due date we counted back the 40 weeks and started with that date. And the last row was the temperature the date Leo was born and I added a row of blue as the very last row since he's a boy. When they were pregnant with his sister I needed to make another one and that time added pink as the final row. I enjoyed it and it wasn't as long in length as a year long temperature blanket. I weaved in the ends every Friday so that wasn't so many to do at one time. And it was all single crochet.
Beautiful blankets! The xmas tree is awesome 😊 I found the Rapala scissors at my local Walmart - you are right - they're great for cutting yarn & they fit in my Notions pouch, thanks for recommending them ❤
Thank you! 😊

Are you asking about the scrapghan?? I chained 100 for that one because it is only a throw size
