5 star rating from me for the Undercover bags, I have one for my Gen 3 Starlink. Excellent bit of kit.
FYI I use the Ridge Ryder Modified Sine Wave Can Power Inverter 150W to have as a quick/emergency to power the Gen 3 which is 240 volt, on the go. I also did use the Thuraya sat sleeve until the Satellite went bang. I use various power banks (Bluetti, Goal Zero, that have 240 volt inverters) that I don't always have in the car, where as I usually take the Starlink on any trip. Cheers Gaz

Thanks for sharing your setup! That's a great solution for powering the Gen 3 on the go.

Correction: The Dishy Shield will not protect against UV, my bad!

what stops someone stealing the $800 dish from your roof rack? My Mini overheats when it gets to 60 deg C on the roof as it nis designed for airflow across the antenna panel :(

Thank you for raising these important points! Let me address both issues:
      Regarding theft protection:
The Starlink dish has several built-in security features that make theft quite impractical:
      • Each dish is tied to a specific account and can't be transferred without proper authorization
      • Built-in GPS tracking reports location to the network
      • Once reported stolen, the dish becomes completely unusable
      • The dish can be instantly disabled through the app, turning it into an expensive paperweight
      Regarding the overheating concern:
I really appreciate you sharing your experience with the overheating issues at 60°C - that's valuable information! One of the main reasons I chose this particular mounting setup is its quick release feature. It takes less than 2 minutes to remove or reinstall, so during extreme heat conditions (which we definitely get in the desert), I can easily store it inside the vehicle. I'll be monitoring the temperature performance closely and will update in future videos about how it handles our Australian conditions. The Dishy Shield I installed might also affect thermal performance, so I'll be paying particular attention to that.
Have you found any effective solutions for your overheating issues? I'd be interested in hearing what works for you
