I listened to Maxence Larrieu several times in Italy...I remember among all a fantastic Mercadante e minor concert inside Ara Coeli church in Rome. Great flutist with a wonderful sound!!

Funny thing about Joseph Rampal students, they all have a crooked left side posture on the headjoint... they sound good, but as a teacher I always correct the students to be more like in the middle...

Thanks a lot for this memory of Joseph Rampal. In the interview with Robert Langevin, it is mentioned a record of Bach sonatas with Puyana. Is it possible to get this LP or CD anywhere? For years I am looking after records of Joseph Rampal. Thanks for any informations about that.
    Best regards

Lovely playing all of you. Lucas' R hand position is the same as the professor at the university I studied had. I think it's what Rockstro recommended. (It was a long time ago.) Some thought it was eccentric, but he had a beautiful tone and style. Lucas doesn't seem to have any musculoskeletal issues and he also plays beautifully. Thank you for posting.

The only problem is that it's wrong though. LOL

If it works and doesn't impede technique, then it's fine.
