wonderful little film! I don't really know Mr.Dunsworth, but a few years ago I stumbled into his yard while looking for a boat his neighbour was selling... we ended up spending a hour of so looking at his rock work, and driving around that area. This film confirms my first impressions, he is a unique and very special individual. Thanks John for the inspiration... now I really need to do something with that pile of rock in my back yard...( thinking of a pizza oven)

Last year at 34 I discovered woodworknig, then I expanded to a little cement work and now gardening, I have 20 blackberries, 43 strawberries and now go vegetables. I volunteer and make dog houses for dog shelters, I made like 50 of them in one year. Sometimes I go back to this video, because tihs gentleman explained everything, we don’t know why we live and where we go, but other people, animals and this beautiful world will remain, and I feel a duty to leave something in gratitude for living on the Blue marble. Will I make a pyramid? Probably not. 🤣 But I will definitely make something out of stone, at least some small wall or maybe a bench that people can sit on for the next hundred years

I find myself coming back to this video every so often, in some way to live vicariously through John building this and help me stave off the need to do something like this myself as I rent and wouldn't imagine my landlord being too pleased to find my cement monoliths, but also to hear some words of wisdom without any egotistical bullshit attached to them. RIP to John Dunsworth, an absolute gem of an intelligent, compassionate man.

I wanted to leave a comment to tell you what this video means to me. I always come and watch this when I am feeling lost in my life and it always reminds me of the importance of purpose. Please never take this video down.
I have come by this video a few times and now look for your comment each time. This video is like a very peaceful memorial to me. I work with stone, and the thought of your own mortality is in the foreground whenever you make something out of stone that has the chance of having hundreds of useful years in it; compared to our very brief blip of existence on this earth. It always puts my mind at ease to see someone come to the conclusion that this man has so gleefully come to. I accept my mortality, but wish to have a reach beyond the grave. And maybe, just maybe the internet too will act as a stamp of time to mark the progression of us as individuals. To Imagine that one day my ancestors could come upon this and glean my life's intention makes me wonder. Good luck to all who wish to make their mark on the world. Concrete and granite seem like a good start.
What a great man, the more I learn about him the more I would have liked to sit and have a conversation with him. Jim Laheys character always cracked me up, but he was obviously way more than that! R.I.P John Dunsworth!

Heed John's words. Wise soul. Rock on!
As someone who works with stones and cement this means so much to me all his little tips and tricks all while summarizing the meaning of life. A true inspiration
wonderful little film!
Watching this video freed my soul from all possible worries.
I can't believe how good this video was.
Shit good 👍👍👍👍
Today is the 16th. I miss you John. It's been a real shitnado around here lately, I wish you were still around to brighten the place up. You were so good at that.
He certainly was RIP to the legend he will be missed and not forgotten
Last year at 34 I discovered woodworknig, then I expanded to a little cement work and now gardening, I have 20 blackberries, 43 strawberries and now go vegetables. I volunteer and make dog houses for dog shelters, I made like 50 of them in one year. Sometimes I go back to this video, because tihs gentleman explained everything, we don’t know why we live and where we go, but other people, animals and this beautiful world will remain, and I feel a duty to leave something in gratitude for living on the Blue marble.
Will I make a pyramid? Probably not. 🤣 But I will definitely make something out of stone, at least some small wall or maybe a bench that people can sit on for the next hundred years
There are people and Good People in the world. Everyone chooses for themselves who they want to be.
Well said! My son and I are reworking a stone wall on our property. We often wonder who built it and what they were like. I have been thinking of creating some kind of stone oven and fixing it in place with concrete.
Gordon, thank you for sharing. Your story is proof that John Dunsworth has left a legacy. It was inspiring others to "Get a Hobby".
Beautiful words ......I LIKE COLECTING ROCKS DONT KNOW WHY ....MY BOYFRIEND THINKS I NUTS ......ALWAYS WANTED TO OR MAKE THINGS BUT I JUST NOT THST GOOD ...OR PATIENT
@@gloriajagus4242 Haha pet rock colletion :D You know how kids throw stones before they learn to talk? We used to throw rocks to defend against predators, or to catch food. I think it is also in our genes to use stone as a building material. Get some cement and make a small flower vase out of those stones or some similar little project :D
You have just cemented yourself as one of my favorite actors. RIP brother
clicked and interesting title.... was not expecting life lessons from mr lahey. what a legend
Ummm … yeah, me too.
You were good as gold thank you for all the laughs and all the wonderful wisdom you left us. Love you John
aside from the birth of my niece, this was the best spent ten minutes of my life. i wish i could just walk through a forest or garden and talk with mr dunsworth about life
DV 16 your niece will probably grow up to develope a drug habit and selling her body. This video will live in perfection forever.
What in the fuck did I just read?
*SHAZAM* sorry your parents didn’t love you
I don’t wanna be dramatic but I’m pretty sure this video just saved my life, Idk how or why but I needed this. RIP John Dunsworth.
As a long time fan of his antics , I never knew he was a mason. RIP Mr Dunsworth , having mixed thousands of bags of concrete or mortar myself , I could watch this all day. Also sharing the knowledge that my walls and cement will be here way after I am is a comfort.
One of those videos that you come back to, and just listen to John talk about his passion.
Absolutely. I come here to listen to John and have done so 3 times in the span of 6 years. I wish he was with us and this makes me feel he still is. RIP legend.
RIP Bud. These cement works will be around for years and your memory will carry on ;((
What a beautiful soul, I wish I could walk among those rocks and admire his legacy
I am so proud of this great Canadian man, truly John left his mark on us all. Glad I found this channel, RIP John
Film is really remarkable. Capturing our moments in life, and allowing others to have a peek behind the curtain of your life. R.I.P John
I'd like to travel here someday. I live quite close, would be a treat to get permission to step foot on there and experience someone's Haven.
That was so damn comfy.
Keep doing what you love John.
A hero amongst men
Why?
@@paulnovak833 Have another look at the video
Best film and acting mentor. Very patient man.
Broke my heart to find out John had died. This a wonderful video of John opening a world of the simple beauty with the simplest of materials. God bless you John and thank you for sharing. Your words ment a great deal to me.
What a good man, missed by many.thanks to the Dunsworth family for sharing this
Big fan of your acting. Glad to see actors have more productive hobbies than just hiding from the media and fans, and shopping. You're one my favorite actors from one of my favorite shows ever.
I just found this channel and shit dude I'm here crying watching Mr Lahey mix cement
Me too. :(
RIP
SHITHAWKS ARE FLYING INTO INFINITY
I find myself coming back to this video every so often, in some way to live vicariously through John building this and help me stave off the need to do something like this myself as I rent and wouldn't imagine my landlord being too pleased to find my cement monoliths, but also to hear some words of wisdom without any egotistical bullshit attached to them. RIP to John Dunsworth, an absolute gem of an intelligent, compassionate man.
Out of all the celebs dying, this one really cores out my heart...
The only.. And I mean only single actor/celeb whos passing still hits me to this day and forever will. 💔. Can't believe anyone would even dislike the video.
What is there to dislike? A man with an idea and compassion sets out to to accomplish a daunting task.
I think about it everytime I see trailer park boys.
Same. I had tears towards the end.
Miss the guy. Never knew him.
But yet I feel like I lost friend that I had forever.
"By accomplishing things, it makes me feel better." This man had it figured out.
Good man, taking safety seriously. This professional safety advisor applauds his wisdom. Mr.lahey will live on forever in our hearts.
with all due respect to Mr Dunsworth putting your hand in a cement mixer is NOT a good idea
@@what-is-a-handle. not the best idea but there are no mixing blades in that kind of mixer
The man who gave me all my laughs throughout high school, hope the universe is treating you well Mr.Dunsworth
His voice is so calming! Another legend. Rip John
Crying over a lost dream to come help you with your rocks one day.
Shit I wish I could have done that too...
This right here
He's a good man, I would gladly help just to learn and experience. But sadly I can't, it easy to talk shit to a dead man who can't talk back so you feel big an strong talking down to a dead guy, let see you do it in somebody face.
Let just say you reap what you sow.
Joshua Jim did he pass away?
This man was a master of his craft. Jim Lehey was one of the best, most hilarious characters ever created. 👍👍⭐⭐
i cant look at trump and putin without thinking of randy and lahey.😂 they predicted.
This man was simply genuine. That is rare these days. RIP John, Our Friend, Our Mentor, Our Hero.
such a nice soul.
When I heard he died, this was the first video that came to mind. RIP, buddy. Seemed like a great guy.
The late, GREAT John Dunsworth - sharing his wisdom while concurrently showcasing how amazingly gentle, kind, and contemplative he was (per those who knew him and spoke of him) merely by having it genuinely shine through in every video he made. RIP to a wonderful legend - your fans, amongst many others I'm sure, miss you!
RIP John, and thank you for all the laughs, i'm so sad writing this man :(
I love it how this guy plays a better drunk sober, but yet he does it better sober than I do when I'm actually drunk. Acting at its best!
Oh man, when he said he hopes he has a couple more years :'( Love you John, you definitely left a legacy bud. RIP
John will forever remain exactly how he wanted. Loved by so many people and forever apart history.
Great man with a great life, really knows how to live at peace with the world.
Who are the 80 monsters that disliked this video. This a great video from his heart.
so teary eyed they pressed the wrong one prolly
They were the pimps and prostitutes from that movie hobo with a shotgun.
The rock's that did not fit.
Its the people that have no clue who he is and they just clicked on it cause they saw it was a hobby video.
It's Jim from trailer park boys😁
Such an inspiring guy
This is so comforting. Truly a gem of a human being. Rest in peace bud.
Man, I love John Dunsworth. Such a beautiful, positive outlook. I'd love to work with him on a Shakespeare production
RIP, John. You've created a legacy here.
"Fill your boots, and be as imaginative as you like" this man probably saved my life 🥺 always wanted to meet him
could I get one from ya, vid left my eyes a bit watery
I truly miss this dude… John was a great actor, friend and mentor to his loved ones and family. Watching this after he passed really hits the heart. Rest In Peace Sir.
I cant stop smiling when watching this man work. Thank you for all the memories I hope your resting easy
RIP Mr Dunsworth. Most affected I've been since Steve Irwin died. It was a pleasure laughing at and I hope with you throughout TPB. Watching this you realise you were just a genuinely good man. Take care Lahey. The worlds a worse place without you.
so peaceful and fulfilling seeing him in his true element.. Rest in Peace John D.. you'll never be forgotten!
just listening to that ole familiar voice..... and crying. Such a great soul. Way she goes...God Bless John Dunsworth. See ya in heaven bud.
This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen on the internet. John Dunsworth is a wholesome soul. RIP
Absolute inspiration. Thanks, John. You have indeed left a legacy.
