Affinity is the best overall alternative for Adobe in general, but Inkscape probably for Illustrator is the free version I’ve seen used most

I bought Affinity before I watched this video and I still do not regret it. It has a nice work flow and powerful tools. That said, I also still use my CS6 Illustrator and both professional. The mixture helps a lot to not miss much about the new CC versions of Illustrator.

Affinity is not one time purchase. It is major release purchase. Like buy v2. and it lasts to v3. Affinity sold out to Canva, so who knows what's next.
