I think I need to stop being a fan of NFL b/c it's maddening(excuse the pun) to want to play a sports video game but you can't b/c it's made so crappy.
I'm sure he can do better, but I think it's a lesson/showcase that making a video game is hard work, and requires a lot of resources, time, money and people. Same with movies. You ever see how many credits are in a movie? And how large their budgets are? I'm sure if king javo and these other indie devs had access to the resources that EA does we would be ok. But it's hard to do it alone
@@WildLionGames That's what I mean. He is capable, but through no fault of his own, I don't think he has the resources to be close to a competitive level. Your analogy is a good one. I think Backbreaker may have been a little too ahead of its time. Meaning if it dropped today, I think it would get a ton of support because of the strong potential with its exceptional gameplay. but when you think of the nature of the football gaming world and social media and TH-cam back in 2009, it just didnt have any support. I'll have to make a part 2 I guess. Sorry to disappoint haha. I didn't include it since I think you can only customize up to 8 teams. So while you can have 8 NFL teams in the game, the other slots are going to be fake. But in hindsight I should have at least included it as an honorable mention
We are so screwed. King Javo is way smarter than I am, understands what a good football game could/should be like, and if those 1989 graphics are the best someone like him can do....yea, we are screwed.
There's a content creator named Karmakut who is big on tactical shooter games and he teamed up with other people to create a game called Bellum. It isn't out yet but looks very promising and if a gamer can be passionate enough to become a developer and make a great tactical shooter game, maybe someone has been out there working on a good football game.
@GenericTH-camCommenter241 oh yeah I gotchya, my b I misinterpreted you. But I agree, he would have to do something like what Karmakut is doing to make a solid football title. I've been somewhat following the development of that Bellum game and it's looking good so far. I'm eager to get my hands on it one day
Play CFB
Still supporting EA
Legendbowl looks way more worth it than Madden
Legend bowl is pretty good. Like 89 madden.
To anyone that can help how can i get the updated rosters on 2k5 (or 2k4) for the PS2? I have been looking and searching for a long time.
I don't really like Backbreaker, because it's god damn difficult, and I play sports game to do things I cannot do in real life... However. Playing a position instead of all the team, and the immersion is so cool... and damn at leat they tried, which cannot be said about EA ever...
But the game is bad , and the graphics aren’t as good as madden “at least they tried “ isn’t an excuse . The real issue is ,it’s hard to make a good simulation football game
@@Royale5600 When nobody tries, we're stuck with Madden '25. It's not useless to show the world something else is possible, as this video demonstrate. Then again I don't think Backbreaker is THAT bad. It's alright, probably a bit too hard.
@@pierreolivierlepage664 I would agree if the games mentioned were good
I think Backbreaker may have been a little too ahead of its time. Meaning if it dropped today, I think it would get a ton of support because of the strong potential with its exceptional gameplay. but when you think of the nature of the football gaming world and social media and TH-cam back in 2009, it just didnt have any support. Madden wasn't as hated as it is now and APF2k8 was just released and indie sports games weren't a thing. but if this dropped today I do believe people would be all over it because of how technology has changed
Great video but I can’t play a football game without being able to play defense.
that's always been the biggest complaint about retro bowl since launch. Im not sure the dev will implement defense ever. there has been talk of at least defensive strategy being added in
I'm stuck with star wars outlaws 😡
oh nooo. is it bad??
@@WildLionGames not bad just about the sqme ubisoft just this one is a star wars
@@Davidjon1946 ahhh yes. Ubisoft, where open worlds are as wide as the ocean and as deep as a puddle
@@WildLionGames its like a bad romance and i fall for the lies everytime this time its going to be better i promise!! ( avatar) outlaws.
And the next thing i know the cops are taking one of us away . 😂
How or where can I find 2K5?
You can’t. It’s only supported by older consoles like the Xbox 360. If you have like a Xbox One, Series X or a PS5 then you can’t play it. Sorry.
There isn’t anyone replacing Madden with Legend bowl
Some gamers will. Some people want something different for a change.
like & sub earned!
NFL 2K5 has aged out, It’s time to let that go very few games are enjoyable for 20 years, it’s a good game BUT it just got old and it isn’t going to do it for me anymore. It had a good run
To each their own
Im still playing Tetris almost 40yrs later among many classic games.. until GTA 6 releases haha
really hasnt
The fact that a game from 2004 with a mod to add 2025 stuff looks more enjoyable than Madden 25 is actually crazy and shows how terrible EA is
big facts. I won't lie. it's a bit of a headache to setup for someone like me who isn't very savvy when it comes to modding things but once I figured it out its definitely nice
Maximum football pc early assess Nov 7th. Free to play
cant wait! we'll be streaming
Nobody is still playing their 360 because they've all melted by now 😂
Legend bowl.only works properly on switch and PC. Do not get it on ps5.
Why did u not include the NFL Street games u those are very incredible games it has a straight up career mode and an nfl challenge modes where u do missions and stuff dat dupid
NFL Street is fun, but I was more trying to bring up games that are 11on11 football and follow the same rules and have all 32 nfl teams in a league. Same reason I didn't mention apf 2k8 because you can't recreate the NFL in its entirety.
@@WildLionGames ohhhhhhhh
@Bobinnintenbro64 great reccomendation though. Just ayed street 2 a few weeks ago again I miss that game
@@WildLionGames ima become a boomer. here they don’t make football video games like they do anymore lol
@@Rrr17-j4q 😂😂😂
trust me, im not struggling.
😂😂
It’s really not that hard to not buy Madden. Last one I think I got had Ray Lewis on the cover.
I love how most of these options are decades old now. Wild that madden legitimately ruined an entire video game genre
anybody know if 2k25 mod is on ps5?
I don't think so unfortunately. Xbox series X works I think
you cant
ESPN 2k5 is still unbeatable
bro said "fuck madden imma play coolmath football 25"
😂😂😂 yo that cracked me up I'm not gonna lie
Or NFL pro era on quest 2-3
yeah I wanna get a quest so I can get that game. I saw that pro era 3 is coming out soon
Is this on Xbox
which game? Sunday Rivals? only on PC unfortunately
@@WildLionGames any I guess
Legend Bowl is on Xbox One.
The 2k5 mod is playable on Xbox series s/x
Backbreaker nfl on Xbox 360
Football Simulator and Sunday Rivals are only PC
And Retro Bowl is mobile and Switch
Not the dig at Deshaun Watson 😂😂😂 Us Browns fans can never win
Green Bay “cheese” 😂😂 🧀
