I am 25. I became Catholic from an evangelical protestant background two years ago. My husband, brother-in-law, and close friend also became Catholic. Another friend is about to be confirmed and my parents are now attending RCIA. Your story and my story are not unique, but praise God for that! More and more protestants are seeing the light of Rome. Salvation is by faith alone in Christ. Not works, prayers, rituals, sacraments, the mass, hail marys. Christ alone. Jesus said it is finished.
We do not confess sins to priests, we confess them to Christ alone.
Mary is not co-mediator between God and man. The Bible says there is one mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the way they truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except thru Him.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is ternal life thru Jesus Christ our Lord,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Trevor your video just popped up on my screen and I was going to skip over it but decided to watch instead. I had a similar experience except that I received a message from God at about 6 years old telling me that he wanted me in the Catholic Church! I was 6! I was a Lutheran who grew up in a 90% Jewish neighborhood! I didn’t know what Catholic was. But the message didn’t end there. He told me to wait until I was older. That I should respect and honor my parents wishes as I grew up and I would know when to make this change. I went home and asked my mom what Catholic was! So she explained. The urge became strong at my confirmation which was 9th grade. I spoke to my mother again and she took me to talk to my pastor. He thought I should wait. And I knew I had to wait. I started college at 17 and immediately sought out the Catholic Church. I began attending mass and then approached the priest about becoming Catholic. RCIA didn’t really exist yet so the classes were over several weekends. I was brought into the church that following Easter at 18 years old. My boyfriend at the time who I had only dated for 10 weeks or so I found out was Catholic. Later we ended up married about a year after graduating from college. I have never regretted my decision and I love the church. My entire family are Protestant and some ask questions and don’t understand. I attended a four year school in Catholic Bible teaching and later immersed myself in books and the catechism so that I knew how to answer these questions. Of course they think reconciliation is nuts and that the Eucharist is body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ. But they don’t have a clue what I feel when I receive him. If you don’t believe you won’t feel it. And you shouldn’t receive it as it is a mortal sin. But anyway I just wanted to tell you, I get it. I’ve been there. I have been Catholic 41 years now. I know it didn’t just happen for you but welcome home!

Don’t trust the ‘hear says’. The true and actual teaching of the Catholic Church are not hidden, they are readily available for all. There are catechism books, videos on TH-cam etc that explains why catholics believe what they believe. You can also simply visit a catholic parish to speak to a nun or a priest, better yet, you can join the RCIA just to get the information you need then if it’s conversion, let the Lord guide you.
But at the end of the day you’d have made your decision base on actual facts.

Catholic church founded the first schools, orphanages and hospitals, cannonized the bible, monks of the Catholic church preserved the bible through hand copying and translations long before there was a printing press that is why we have a bible now, the Catholic church is the single biggest charitable institution on earth, founded by Christ and survived the centuries from the very beginning as Jesus had promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, produced the most Saints and miracles even at the very present time. When someone or someone's family gets possessed, Catholic or non Catholic and even non Christian, he'd most probably run to a Catholic priest for exorcism.

    Beautiful.
This is very similar to a story a lapsed catholic told me once. When they prayed seriously asking for help knowing what they should do, that's when things started happening. It is my conviction that God gives guidance and answers prayers when we need it, typically as we get more desperate. Another, non-Catholic has a similar story. The more people I meet converting to Catholicism or orthodoxy, the more I hear stories like this. And I keep thinking of two things. First, "Knock and the door will be opened." Second, Christ allowing Lazarus to die, and not answering the prayers of Mary and Martha as they expected.

As a lot of people have said your humility and courage in making such a video is remarkable. I stumbled upon your video in my recommendations and I am glad I decided to watch it. You show the power of realizing where you are in your faith and the journey you must go to understand the Catholic Church. I have been a cradle Catholic for 25 years but I know there are still things I have to grow on and mature on in my spiritual life. If you can admit that your truly on the path to understanding our Lord Jesus Christ even more and forever more. I even appreciated you saying there were things you have done wrong by Catholics or Catholic Church teachings or dogmas. I appreciate the authenticity of admitting a mistake and finding God through the mistake. God Bless You , may Her Immaculate Heart keep you, and May His face shine upon you and give you peace, Amen Welcome Home Trevor!!

I do miss the Catholic Church and still love the church. I’ve often considered going back, but honestly can’t agree on purgatory and some small differences. At the same time, I’m not okay with Protestants preaching on the prosperity gospel. You see that a lot actually.

Hi Trevor, Welcome home to the Catholic Church. May I suggest you read the writings of the Early Church Fathers and you will discover there a whole treasure of writings that will help you deepen your faith and show you how our faith is not only based on Sacred Scripture but also on Sacred Tradition. These Church Fathers wrote a great deal within a comparatively short time after the death of the last Apostle so you will see that what we, as Catholics, believe today about the Sacraments is consistent with the beliefs of those Christians of the first and second centuries. You will find a good deal about the early Church Fathers online and some excellent books available from Catholic publishers. I'm 78 years old and I'm still learning more about the Faith every day. Wishing you well in your continued journey of faith and assuring you of my prayers on your behalf. V.P.

@@1cor69 According to The Catechism of the Catholic Church ..."Baptism consists in immersing the candidate in water or pouring water on his head, while pronouncing the invocation of the Most Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." In many cases the form of baptism used in the convert's prior religious community already suffices for Catholic baptism. However, in cases where the ritual or intentions behind a prior baptism are not clear the Church provides conditional baptism as an option.

I am also a former Protestant, and becoming Catholic I had to re-learn the process of determining God's will, It's basically about using Faith and Reason in your walk with and toward God, John Paul II said "Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth…"

As I became older, I realized what an amazing, beautiful, gift my Faith is, given to me by God and by my parents. My life will always be a Faith Journey. I also realized what a powerful prayer The Most Holy Rosary is, as it invites us to reflect on all aspects of Our Lord's Life. May God continue to bless and guide you, Trevor. You are in my prayers. Hi Trevor...
My name is Andrew and I thank God for TH-cam for peoples testimonials and their faith journey in finding their truth in Jesus Christ and yes the church he founded through St.Peter the apostle and the irony that Jesus chose Peter that he would inevitably deny Jesus Ironically like so many in the Catholic Church from Pope's to clergy to the faithful straying away from the Gospel teachings of Jesus and the church he instituted here on earth.
Jesus is amazing that he knows that the church he entrusted to man here today in 2021 is nothing indifferent as to the wicked men of his time and hypocritical clergy of his time .
This is the human condition we fall short and I too.
Like so many TH-cam clips I always find tremendous inspiration from Protestant Christian's biblically and from the word.
My whole life as a Catholic in Australia has been one of disillusionment and one where we have the truth in the church with the sacrifice of the Altar similar through the Ages from Abraham.
Jesus is the sacrifice and in Mathews Gospel he talks about the Body and blood of Christ of everlasting life with Jesus the lord God.
I truly can't cope with the Divinity of Jesus tho I truly believe in his Divinity ...
I follow Jesus because of his humanity.
Christmas is amazing how a King of kings is born in a dirty barn and the lowest people in society at that time he revealed himself to the marginalized such as the Shepherds herding their sheep yet my study in the old testament is littered with the Prophecy of Isaiah 700 years before it took place.
I simply don't understand some of the clergy in the Catholic Church here in Australia they cannot put to words together to form a sentence their homilies are pathetic ...
Unlike other denominations we have communion but believe me there is no communion or interaction with each other.
The Catholic Church's I have attended trying to belong and to find inspiration simply doesn't exist.
Please note I'm not bashing my church but thank God for the reformation az it cleaned out the ritualistic idolitary of statues ...The ethnic church's have filled many of the church's of saints from plaster statues to wooden statues with numerous statues of Jesus in various forms.
Believe me it's tacky and distracting on whom to focus.
The church's here in Australia are either so cluttered with statues of to the other extreme there are church's that resemble a nuclear reactor cold concrete with a pathetic cross so much for contemporary art forms .
The Catholic church has thrown out some amazing prayers and the liturgy resembles at times a stand up comedian
There is no sense of the sacred or to observe of genreflecting as you entree the sacred space.
The bishops do not speak on social issues any more and there is no leadership.
I went to Christmas Eve mass at a major cathedral and the sermon wasn't anything to talk about Jesus incarnation but who has playstation and starwars.
How pathetic..yet the Vatican s own Christmas Nativity last year 2020 looked like a star wars prop without anything to do with the Birth of Christ.
Tho reading the book of ecleesstics and Daniel it takes about the filth in the church and even la sallete in France 200 years ago that Rome will lose the faith.
And last year the Pope venerating the Pachamma the Amazonian Godess.in 2019.
As a faithful follower of Jesus I believe in Jesus truly but the Humans in the Church is exactly what is characterized in the New Testament... The clergy well some of them are in God's church to undermine his teachings and not truly and boldly be witness for Christ.
I am convinced that the evil serpeant will abolish the Eucharist and substitute it with something else.
The WRITING is On The Wall... Like the Prophet foretold about the city of Babylon.
The writing is on the wall for Rome.
