- Today, we say goodbye to my latest creation, Scarlett by Bonnie Brown. But before we put her in her traveling box, join me while I weigh and assemble her. I go into great detail and talk about the importance of weighing and how to realistically weigh a reborn doll.
Towards the end of the video, you will see me holding the doll and sharing how realistically she melts in your arms. Also, I invite my wife (nlovewithreborns2011) to join my video and hold little miss Scarlett. We do some skin comparison, since she (Steff) is the perfect example for comparing Scarlett's caucasian tone with.

She is something else, wow, I was just so mesmerised. Now I understand better about cost too, you use a lot of poly angel, I’m calling it, then all that glass. I live in the UK and have collected dolls for a lot of years, firstly porcelain, but I wasn’t satisfied because all I could do with those was look at them, so I moved onto vinyl, but it was too firm and not easy to pose. I nearly give up, then I found reborns on here. I never had a doll when I was growing up because I was brought up in a children’s home, hope you know what that is. I wasn’t a naughty child, my parents were alcoholics. I got my very 1st reborn last week, she is a sleeping baby and now I am content, the hair is so much better than any of my previous dolls. Now I get to play with my baby and change her clothes, it’s wonderful what you guys do for people like me. I am currently saving for another reborn, but it won’t be for a while yet. Thank you for what you do, you’re amazing xxx she is perfect the way her head comes forward and not back. I would be so proud to have a baby like Scarlet

What a fantastic job you did painting and weighting this little baby! I'm in love with your work and I'm really excited to learn how you weight your dolls. The head falling forward as opposed to lolling backward is especially awesome. I always had a hard time with that part. Thank you for such an informative video

I actually bought Christmas snow stuffing (the kind that’s the same consistency as polyfill) at an after Christmas sale for 27 cents a bag and it worked too. It’s actually super soft as well if you’re on a budget and want to make a lot of dolls. I create a spine for mine out of a segmented tubing from a hardware supply store to make the back stable and attaching shoulder blades so it’s not totally floppy.

I have autism too and they are soooo calming to hold, they are very sensory when weighted properly
Make your own reborn, using an unpainted doll, which you can make with as a project with your son. Kits are under $100, and smaller dolls are around $50. I have two unpainted elves, one unpainted monkey, one unpainted werewolf, and two unpainted regular babies who can take a real pacifier. I want more babies who can use a real pacifiers in the future. You can customize your dolls any way you want them. The dolls can be made both male and female, and instead of being an elf, I can make him/her a vampire child. The monkey 🐒 could be made into the peaches and cream newborn, let your imagination flow. Since I now have everything to reborn, I can’t wait to start.

BB had Angel Soft polyfil on sale not long ago so I purchased some to try and WOW! I absolutely love it. I still use normal polyfil to give the bummy and chest a little firmness but I do put the angelsoft in the tummy area and some in the bummy. I LOVE it.
