I've had 3 English Mastiffs growing up, which can be the same size and weight as Great Danes. My BIGGEST piece of advice I could give you, is you HAVE to love that dog every day, every minute no matter what. Give him the best life possible because he won't be here for long sadly like many other breeds. All 3 of my English Mastiffs growing up all had health problems, our first died from Hip Dysplasia (Also very very common in great danes, please read up and learn about it). Our second died from a Bloat (Also very common in great danes), he died in my mothers arms as she got home from work. And our last died from a very bad skin allergy, and eye problems. (Entropion is very common in great danes, also look up and learn about it). He passed very sudden even though he looked completely healthy and happy. All 3 of my Mastiffs didn't live past 5 years old. I would highly recommend to get him health checkups very regularly just to make sure none of these problems have a chance of happening to your pup. Also you should probably get some slober towels, we always called them slingers with our Mastiffs, they drool, A LOT, especially when drinking, and having those towels around is a must to clean them up.

What a handsome dog. From the text pic I thought it was a Dalmatian, but seeing him at the end of the vlog it is a Great Dane. It's so funny he didn't really want him and at the end he couldn't put him down. Seems like a really sweet, friendly puppy. Now he can take the dog for jogs or out while he rides the boosted board. Good job rescuing the pup and giving him a really nice home. He hit the lottery with you guys. Congrats! #HappyWifeHappyLife

Congrats on the great dane! I have one and she is nearly 5 years old now! They are big brute dogs. Only thing I can say is be careful with his food. Make sure the bowl is elevated when he eats and make sure he doesn't eat too fast as they can suffer from bloat. Good luck with the dane. They are beautiful dogs and I look forward to seeing him grow over the years!

I had a Great Dane Hecz. Seems like you know all of the basics of a Great Dane but don't teach them anything while they are young you don't want them to do when they grow up. Like sitting on your lap. They will always think they can sit on your lap no matter how big they are. Or sleeping on your bed etc. and don't let kids sit in there back like a horse. It's a really easy mistake to make but Danes have a high risk of back problems to begin with. Have fun they are a great breed!

Yo @HECZWE my aunt and uncle keep a great dane all the time man, they only live like 7 years. They have a twin mattress in their living room he sleeps on, this is a HUGE dog. The one they have now is 165 lbs, Its 1000% another person not just a dog. GOOD LUCK
They grow extremely fast so joint supplements help then as they grow get elevated good and water bowls it helps with digestion and helps prevent their stomachs from flipping. Which is fairly common with the large breeds. Like I said we have two and we love them dearly

That is a BEAUTIFUL dog!! I used to train dogs after I got out of the military, Great Danes are great dogs! They can be timid sometimes, so just make sure he is properly socialized! He looks like he is pretty chill already so you should be good! I also like the name Oreo for him!!! If you need training, I know some people!!!

Hey Hector , i also have a great dane and he is 2 years old now , they do eat alot but it wouldn't really cost much , they love being with a person and they love to like sit on a person's lab (even when they are huge and older) a great dan is probably (in my opinion) one of the best dogs to have. They give you that love and care you want to give a dog and they need alot of attention and btw I think you should call him Like Alex or something 😂
