Hi Dave, I really like the changes introduced in V3 which all help in the editing journey, thanks for TK Fridays! I bought the Sean Bagshaw's luminosity mask videos and there was one that particularly caught my eye on the use of the Layer Mask mode where Sean explains creating an adjustment layer and then using it to create the mask and see the effects of trying different options on the image live. Maybe one to show in future TK Friday?

Each Friday, I look at your edit right after the balance and contrast adjustments. I try to see what I would do to the image. Today, the only significant difference between what you did and what I imagined was that I would have done a little (very little) lightening and vibrance adjustments on the forground grasses. But that just goes to show how different people can have different artistic impressions of a photo. Thanks for the TK9 tutorial. There are so many 'control key + button' features in TK9 that I can't remember them. Is there a cheat sheet that summarizes them for easy recall?

Thanks Bob. You will find a (TK Button Modifiers PDF) inside the TK9V3 Folder>Documents and Resources>TK9 Button Modifiers.

Another wonderful edition! Quick question. In this video, you adjusted your typical B&C of FG and Sky, followed up with the Midtone contrast and lighten of midtones, then the zone adjustments. Aren't these a bit on the redundant path? Could you achieve the same (or similar) results simply skipping the first two methods and going solely with zone adjustments? And, thank you for these weekly full edits. I have learned so much from your teachings!

Edit: Looking solely at the tonal adjustments, not any color grading one might consider doing.

Good question Carl. I don't think they are redundant. I always start with the Balance and Contrast adjustments because they are a good starting point for me to see which direction I want to take an image. The Zonal Adjustments really added to the overall edit, in my opinion, and if they weren't there I would miss them.

Thanks again Dave. Just a quick question. If you sharpened image in Topaz at the start of an edit, would you still do the texture and clarity increase in CAM RAW?
