    We ate a big breakfast, but not late- coming from the East Coast we are up very early.

      6 hour time difference from Bora Bora to EST feels tough.

    Hi Sebby! Trying to plan my Honeymoon and get the best value. We are really looking for an OWB experience. Bora bora seems great for the mountain experience as well (hiking?). Do you have any recommendations? Would you prefer this over the Conrad in Bora Bora? Plan to use points for flight and/or resort. We’re out of Indiana

    Hey Sebby, I follow all of your channels and appreciate the content. I’ve got the points to go to bora bora or the Maldives. As a chef most of my trips are based around walking and eating and I’m looking to change it up and go somewhere relaxing. I keep coming back to PPT or MLE. I’ve got points the FNC to cover hotels as well. Which of the two do you like better? Which of the two is cheaper in terms of food at the resorts? Thank you.
    Ps - if there is soemwhere beach like and relaxing that better then both I’m open.

      Food varies drastically based on the resort you choose. For both Bora Bora and Maldives, St. Regis has the best quality food (in my opinion). The only downside of the Maldives is that it's significantly more expensive to get around, and costs are generally more there.

      When we visited the Waldorf Astoria in the Maldives, it was a beautiful property, but the food was very disappointing. Good presentation, but all the Asian food was missing the "wok hei" for $$$$. Breakfast was also not as good "value" since it retails for as much as the St. Regis, but less premium items.

    Looks like a great spot, but I'm not sure if it is worth the flight cost and time. Thank you for the video!

    🦄 Doesn’t it feel like a lot to bring a drone? I guess you could check your bag, but how did that affect your travel experience?

      Not sure what you mean, I carry a giant Peak Design 45L travel backpack on all our trips...part of the TH-cam creator life?

      @@SebbyFung okay, I guess you can fit the drone easily in a 45L. I always thought about bringing a drone to trips, but some international airlines wouldn’t be okay with a 45L, not even a 36L sometimes. Speaking about not checking a bag.

      I know SQ is a bit aggressive with carry-on weight. Other airlines seem fine from our experience. We're usually carrying 2 Macbooks (1 Mandy and 1 me), a full-frame camera, 1-2 lenses (14mm and 16-35mm), camera gimbal, 1-2 GoPros. That's why we have such big backpacks 🙃

    🦄 Definitely a big brunch guy at pricey touristy places, especially if there's a buffet (I can more than hold my own). Can usually snack before supper if needed. Leaves more time through the bulk of the day.
    Love the over-water villas and would love to go anywhere like it, but would need a place amenable to an elementary-aged Player 3.

      Most families we know with younger children opt for a beach/land bungalow (for safety reasons) and stick to swimming in the controlled lagoon or the pool.

      Also, double check before booking! Found out from another friend that some resorts have a max of 2. They were asked to book a second room (which they wouldn't even end up using).

    Which airline and which aircraft, for first class, do you recommend for a European trip? Much appreciated.

      If you're booking on points, your best bet for F is probably Lufthansa. Maybe Singapore if you're going to Frankfurt?

    🦄 How was it booked?

    • @SebbyFung
      @SebbyFung  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We booked on points + free night certificates in the past. Right now, points a prohibitively expensive with IHG. Might be worth a splurge (points or cash) but otherwise your best bet for value is Conrad.

    How is Bora Bora for vegetarians/vegans?

    • @SebbyFung
      @SebbyFung  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For most resorts, probably fine. Worth an email to their concierge team though before booking (or within the cancelation period). My guess is that the Conrad (Hilton) would be the best bet.
