I feel like as a 30 year old father, this is the new wave of blading. Not necessarily street skating but more relaxed skating in the streets. Awesome and inspiring.
I skated in the first wave of inline street (92-95). I quit because I saw inline was stuck trying to be skateboarding. It had way more potential if it did it's own thing. The skates were fast, light, and strong. I said it would find it's identity in "soul riding"... less about "tricks" and more about really using the environment in ways skateboarding could not. Looks like I was right.

Im 28 and a dad to a 6 yr old this while fun and relaxing isn't enough for me personally im back at the park after 14 years the only thing that's changed is I wear full pads

I've only been skating a couple weeks and I keep pressing myself to learn stuff quickly like wizard skating and jumps and cool things till I see flow videos and remember it's not really about the flashy stuff, it's more of just flowing in a line that you think is cool and enjoying the hobby. Props!
Enjoyed this very much. Was an early inline skater. Skated with Dale Sheffield who devised the Sheffield method for riding stairs - did 175, backwards, with his method. Great to see that guys are still into this. Great sport.

I love your flows you guy's, so nice to watch. I started skating about 4 years ago and after 8 months I was diagnosed with cancer stage 4.it have been a struggle but i am still here.🙏💪for the first time in months i felt strong enough to put my skates on I go for a try,i loved it!I wish I could meet you guys and have some help with transitions,it's like my ankles are made of wood.keep the awesome work!greetings from Belgium .peace

Love the flow....and the camera person had great control of capturing your movement. Though at times it seems as though the capture was not captured by a person, plus during some of the capture I could see that there was something in in your right hand. Did you additionally have the aid of a drone cam that was possibly connected to a tracking device in your hand?
No one has replied to you, so I'll tell you. It's a special kind of camera that is attached to a pole. The editing software basically removes the pole from the video. I know one is called the Insta 360.

Shaun, I am nearly as old as you and would like to restart skating again. I was heavily addicted to skating, when I was roughly 20 years younger. I still skated occasionally during my 20s, but had mainly switched to activities like hiking and biking. Now I am really passionate about starting to skate regularly again. This is partly because of the returning love for the artistic approach of skating and partly because I am facing some issues with hip pain, which might result from a combination of an ankle injury and too much cycling. Can you recommend a stretching routine or anything that might facilitate my new skating attempts? This week I went skating again after a long pause and was very pleased, that I am still able to move easily with skates on my feet. I really had a ton of fun.
Hello Shaun. I wish you make a video collecting the most attractive spot for tourist in Calgary so we got to see the beauty of the city from nature to urban amd also see your wonderful skills. Honestly i like your videos for your unique style. Sometimes the landscape is boring but because your way of seeing opportunities in boring spots it becomes amazing. However I wish to see a video that do wonderful marketing about the city for visitors but from the eyes of skaters. A good combo of different season would be nice. Calgary is one of the cities I would like to move to in the near future. Thanks for keeping the content of youtube so exciting and big thanks to your team behind the cam.

Spent a lot of my childhood on roller skates (quads) and hired ice skates at the rink, but have never had a chance to try inlines. Just bought myself a pair of hardly used Powerslide IVs at a bargain price. I'm 56 . . . Wish me luck? XD
