our conversation goes all over the place as i was incredibly eager to ask him so many things but in general we cover Yugioh and greetings for the first few minutes followed up by questions from combat to lore!

what if the fractured staff of armadyl spec, your character snaps the staff in half further fracturing it and turns into dual weild for the duration of the spec. lmao, the more i think about it the cooler it sounds

Awesome stuff man, just watched the whole thing. When you guys were talking about the elite dungeons I was like "Yes, exactly!" lol if it wasn't for ED1 I may have never even gotten into pvm. Seiryu was just that damn cool looking and fun of a boss that I had to try it and that then led to all the other pvm I've experienced. I agree that Elite dungeons is some of the best content in the game, variety is always good of course but all of the ED's have always been the most fun I have.
Completely agree man. I am glad sponge is such a Chad lol we need some more elite dungeons I'd even be down for a mid level one that noobs could do
I love elite dungeons as well. Was just sad that ED4 didn't have 2 bosses inbetween and we only had "minibosses"

@@MrMellomanRS In my opinion, that was probably what hurt the dungeon. The Jailer doesn't compare to bosses like Sanctum Guardian, Astellarn, and Crassian Leviathan.
Maybe the enrage affecting the dungeon mobs is another reason.
Reworks on Sword and Shield - bring new abilities similar to reflect in that do enhanced damage back to mob based on defence stats or rework debilitate to increase damage based on tank stats

Sponge mentioning elite dungeons having puzzles in them is very interesting. I wish we would get a new kind of elite dungeon that would be only skilling and puzzles with a soloable skilling boss at the end. I think that would be pretty cool. Lots of great stuff in the interview! Looking forward to the next one.
Hey I'm glad you enjoyed I thought that was cool too, imo I am not much of a skiller but a mix like actual dungeoneering or COX on osrs would be dope, it would also have people supply cash and could add tangible rewards but would give value to both skillers and pvmers. But yeah elite dungeons are dope I'm all for it!

20-33 mins in is so hyped. glad they are working on the rotations and cleaning up the other styles to make it more in line with necromancys general use of use and simple to understand rotations. Just shows they did a very good job with Necromancy and it was received very well since they can use that foundation for the other styles and him talking about different necro builds, magic could be implying status effects like dots based on spell, ranged having some kinda ammo charge mechanic is *chefs kiss*. the future is looking bright, now hopefully jagex lets the devs cook and do it justice and release it sometime in the next decade lol
as far as raids goes, i would love if they put multipliers/scaling like they did in OSRS where you could solo the raids(well most idk about tob) yourself or go in with a group to cater to both types of players without leaving anyone behind. so hopefully the next elite dungeon they make has some kinda multiplier mechanic to it or something so you could enhance your difficullty to reward ratio. i do love me some ED's, ed2 being my favorite aesthetically but ed4 a close second! but outside of ed4 i don't run the others that much since im just tired of going through the whole process

three quests or While Guthix Sleeps? While Guthix sleeps! I prefer the big deep quests. I died a lot in extinction. Can't say that really bothered me.
Eldin ring and games like it heavily telegraph the attacks. Telegraphing is important to make that sort of combat challenge reasonable. Wipeout damage that must be avoided has to be telegraphed so you know to avoid it. otherwise all it does is become a random death event.
25 min in so far and I'm enjoying it. Love your videos, you always so genuinely interested and hyped for your guests so it never feels like a staged podcast etc. Just like a conversation between people who really love what they are talking about. Keep it up man!

I only just discovered your channel from the Elite Dracolich Video. It's very nice to see someone enjoy Elite Dungeons and the lore of Xau-Tak. Lots of people I met despise Elite Dungeons.
I personally like Elite Dungeons more because the idea of killing the same boss again within 30 seconds break felt really weird to me all the time. Not only that, there's just not enough break time inbetween. With Elite Dungeons, there is less strain on my left hand and I can relax a bit before moving on the next different boss.
Elite dungeon hands down made me fall in love with this game! Tha ks for watching friend it means the world to me!

Great video. You might want to Time Stamp it, so when people can go back or review the video, you have exact locations of when to look at certain material. Besides that I was hoping for more information about Defensive content since I feel like that's a great next combat content to develop for the long term though Ranging and Magic having some coherency is quite important. There's so little lore about Ranging (been researching) that I would love to see that also addressed when these changes happen in the future.

If we do see a massive upgrade to magic/range with some type of stacking resource that is gained, would it be viable to rework the wizard/range guilds where players are taught these mechanics. I definitely see that for new / returning players it would be difficult to immediately learn some new mechanic so having a dedicating training place where you learn how to utilize them would be awesome and it could be taught after you reach a certain level that this system becomes available. Not to mention they can flesh out some of the most unknown guilds in RS3 lore wise (though wizard guild does have a bit).

I'd like to see t92 magic be added to instead of just building a whole other set but could look different after being added to to keep it fresh. fsoa is a broken elder item that could be repaired, or jerry rigged to increase in power. The addition of stacks to staff with gsonic and cast time, When you build upon things you live the story more so than just doing the combat.
44:44 ED2 was where I truly started learning PVM. As I have been called insane for not learning how to pvm at something easier like GWD2, it was a good learning experience to learn both mechanics and develop my "amateurish" rotations without relying on rotation guides. Helped me improvise if something goes wrong. I didn't even know how to utilized death's swiftness and when I tried, I killed slower cause I was a newbie.
Or the true real reason: I just like killing dragons.

Gotta say something right off the bat. Don't apologize for being passionate about something and getting excited. Please. Without delving into why, is something I'm stuck doing all the time and I wish I wouldn't. Be passionate and cringy if it's you being you. You don't owe anyone an apology, especially because we sought you out, you didn't corner us and force us to listen.
I think the bigger issue with the lack of MH + Shield camping viability is that higher DPS often means you take less damage since the boss dies faster.. Why use a shield constantly to try mitigate damage when you can just have the boss die quicker and you take less damage overall, plus generally an easier fight if you skip mechs.
On a side note though, to play devil's advocate - I personally think skipping mechs ruins some bosses and devalues skill at a certain boss, as you generally are more proficient with the combat system than the boss itself.
Yeah, the only way to benefit with a shield is if a boss has some guaranteed huge hit you can't avoid that happens before he gets defeated, so speed wouldn't help you. Or if it happened the entire fight, or an environmental damage mitigated by a shield.
Idk, I'm just using the necro shield at this point for all combat styles regardless. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

A fair few of the old quests had an almost task master mentality to them: here is your task, a mighty quest. Do it, if you *can.* It led to some misses, and some major hits. I think difficult quests should genuinely challenge the players and be about that task master mentality. Not everyone will be able to just do it, and some people will need to give it a good few goes to improve in order to get it done. With rewards matching difficulty. Making things too easy, so everyone can do them leads to them being boring. Why not test players every once in a while? I think a handful of irate redditors doing what they will do anyway and chronically complain about everything with massive pessimism VS having a fun experience that tests players in interesting ways is a no-brainer ballgame.

I cant wait for the Gowers game to come out. I will stop paying to play RS and use the free version as a chat program to keep up with friends. As an older player that started playing in feb 2001 I find the lack of the present games providing paths forward for disabled players reprehensible. Maxed is meaningless for anyone that can only use a mouse.
i quite literally have a man with one hand in my discord that i helped achieve reaper crew, has AOD kills, My friend @blindguyrs is Legally blind and uses software to help him play and he has done nex and ED2 with me etc. You're the effort you put in. i hope you have a great time in Gowers game, also - alot of the highest level dpsers in the game click a majority of their abilities. and in the last post theyre literally releasing a high contrast mode for people with visual empairment. i genuinely think you may just benefit from enjoying another game for awhile, thats not a crime.
@@prideslayer77 Unfortunately Rs3 doesn't have a way to show effort. They show how many kills you have for bosses. Pretty useless information if you want to see effort or determination.
A death per boss counter would give great insight to those two things. Effort on its own is not rewarded . Only success. DTD should be removed from the game if they can't be used after a certain point by those that need them to move forward.
@@williewonka3574 hard disagree but this conversation is helpful so thank you - effort is shown through being able to kill bosses - by learning the layers of mechanics and moving to solo - death touch darts work for low and mid level bosses which effects nothing since they get no kc. effort is directly rewarded with dps, and drops.
@@prideslayer77 If that's the case then all drops should be untradeable. If you can't get it yourself for any reason you simply don't deserve it and shouldn't have it until you do. Of course food,logs,ore, and other consumables would be exempt from that. Present High priced items or rares shouldn't be tradeable. Why should you be able to own a party hat etc. etc. if you weren't actually there to get them when they dropped?

@ 40:45 Why do you call eds raids when the max team size is only 3? A raid is a type of mission in MMORPG where a much larger number than usual of people specifically gather in an attempt to defeat a boss.
Because you group with people to kill a boss, plenty of people do solo raids on other games. The elite dungeons are awesome and could be called raids.

@@prideslayer77 Mazcab does deserve more love. But i hope it will be a complete new boss encounter. And hopefully we do get a better match making system in the future.
I'm relating more to the yugioh conversation than anything. Maxx C is busted. Been playing master duel for free on mobile and the struggle is real with the combo decks.

Yes. And something that's gone very unappreciated is the fact that almost nobody noticed a difference. No hiccups, no weird bugs afaik, it's been smooth as fuck. That's unbelievable tbh given how complicated combat is under the hood.

Whats the point of Fire wave, wind surge, water blast, etc? Aren't those already abilities? what runes does whatever magic abilities take? you have dead content every part of the game... EOC doesn't mesh. Make RS4 and go all in or go all out.

Add more land, add more interactable npcs, Zeah and Varlamore and Rs3 only has the timeless land? Breh RS3 should have like 5 other land expansions as big as gielinor by now.

When JAGEX made opt in and out of pvp and continued to loose interest in pvp to save the game remove opt in and out it'll bring arround 200-300 peaple will return their was a lot of peaple that did pvp anti pvp and so on they need to also buff up mage it seems under powered maybe I just stink at it also do maybe a weekly special event to bring peaple back to peak a interest end game pvmers are just board reason I myself don't play I play with friends but alone I'm board no goals

Listening to community instead of the actual founders is the thing that will make RuneScape less RuneScape. The game in fact looks less and less like RuneScape. Is that what players want though? Should the game even be called RuneScape if we continue this path?

- remove wildy
- remove duel arena
- kill merching
- make bosses too easy
- make treasure hunter the main game
Let’s look at old holiday items. Other game studios have way better processes on giving people access to old holiday items such as content creator programs. You have your own content creator profile where you earn points and can purchase old holiday items for giveaways. Jagex instead gave all old Christmas holiday items for free last Christmas. Their way of designing the game is so bad you can’t even call it design. It’s just a bunch of clueless randoms trying to make living and do the bare minimum to keep the players happy, which is filling playerbases wishes one by one.
