  • in this video I will try to explain how to use the 80 amp solar charge controller there are many ways to use it but I will show you the way that I use this particular MPPT solar charge device. I also have a PWM solar charge controller without an extra solar panel to charge my individual battery but I found a temporary way to charge my battery using one 600 watt solar panel.. you can actually (temporarily) take the wires from the solar side of one solar controller and connect it on the battery side negative and positive of the other solar charge controller and catch a charge to the other battery/slow charge..

    I'd say this was pretty informative. Not much of a tutorial like every other video on TH-cam, but life advice that could help me big time. Thanks!

    i used that solar controller for almost a year now, one is 80 amperes and 100 amperes, its work well , its not a real mppt but its better than pwm when it comes to charging, it was cheap ,it cost me 1000 philippine pesos ($20) for the 100 amperes for this controller, great set up for beginner and fits for your budget..

      I agree to that it's a great device and it does the job to get it done when it comes to charging from my perspective there's not a lot of videos on it but I thought I should try to help people that's looking for more information on how to use it and you're right it's not the best out there but it's good for beginners and it gets the job done 💯

      100AH lifepo battery normally can charge half so 50amp but that max most i think are down at 20amp charge cycle that just the charge side the bigger AH the better with this charger so up to 200AH at max charge 100amp but you need the input from solar to give that much think of head 2.4kw max so 3kw of solar i dont know any panels giving there max but thia geuss and not done working it out i dont do math

    Thanks for the video. Just got one of these and can't get it to start charging. Did you have to tirn on some setting to get it to charge? I tried IUnversal and Manual mode but it always shows 0.0 amps from the panels. Definitely have juice coming in and the connections look solid. Frustrating! Hope it ain't dead. Thanks for any help.

      Try it in these exact steps turn everything off plug up the battery first then solar panels last... Make sure wires are not corroded.. solar panels getting power but you do not see charge on the panel device? try checking that all connectors are connected and tight from panel to charging device solar port.. if none of those options are working sometimes the device may be defected you can try a 12 volt battery tester and put the two prongs on the positive and negative side during daytime hours to see if you're getting 12 volts coming through the wiring from the panels if it lights up it's working fine but if you're still not getting any reading on the device then the device may not be working properly other words defective I appreciate you for watching my videos I hope something I mention is able to help you out.. stay tuned for my follow-up video on the charging device I will show some things that could probably help others when it's not charging during daytime hours

      @@yomontOME Thanks! I tried a bunch of stuff but it just won't charge. From reviews it looks like I'm not the only one. Too bad. Luckily I have an older 60A charger that should do the job. I appreciate your taking the time to help! Good luck with your solar system.

    I could not reach the floating voltage adjustment step of this device. Additionally, I see that there is no possibility of adjusting the charging current of this device. I plan to use this device to support the battery charging MPPT output of the solar inverter. I would like my friends who are making applications on this subject or have knowledge about the things I am trying to learn to support me.

    • @yomontOME
      @yomontOME  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the battery is fully charged you will not get no voltage to charge the battery from the device it will stay to a bare minimum until the battery start losing charge then you will gain voltage to keep the battery at charge state once you start using axillary

      This charge controller can't handle a lot of power

    • @andreengland2279

      I bought this charge controller and it's loses power because it's not a real mppt charge controller

    • @yomontOME
      @yomontOME  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andreengland2279 do you think it loses power because the battery is almost fully charged? Normally when it loses power is because the battery is almost to fully charged or is currently finished charging you will then notice the voltage drop down to 0. 3 💯 just enough to keep it from dropping voltage..
