- Rumors of Janet Jackson having a secret child more than 30 years ago have resurfaced since she gave birth to a baby boy this week. Now, Kristinia DeBarge, the daughter of singer James DeBarge, who was briefly married to Jackson in the 1980s, told Inside Edition: "Only she knows the truth." Kristinia's father is said to be the father of the mystery child. She said reports about the existence of Jackson's alleged secret daughter may be accurate. "I believe I do have a sister out there," she said. #InsideEdition
When Janet talks about her secret child with James Debarge she looks like she was about to cry. Janet said, "I could never keep a child away from James. How can I keep a child from their father? I could never do that! That's not right!" I believe her.

I remember when she got marry to James Debarge. She was clearly pregnant but instead of announcing it to the public they got an annulment instead . I was a HUGE FAN of both The Debarge family and Janet and I remember a pic of Janet w him getting out of a car and she looked at least 5-6 month pregnant but no announcement of a baby . I always thought it was strange how no one seem to have brought it up and the rumor faded but sure enough years later the rumor is back . My aunt worked at the convalescent hospital the Jacksons grandmother was residing at in the 80's. She said Janet was pregnant when she saw her come in. She doesn't know if she lost the baby or is hiding the baby but she said Janet was for sure pregnant.

So stop blaming her for wanting to find her sister if Janet and James actually had a daughter. So many people remember Janet looking like she was pregnant when she was on FAME the TV show. They remember her taking a leave of absence from the show. I believe she put the daughter up for adoption and she doesn't even know who adopted the daughter and the adopted parents don't know that the daughter is Janet Jackson's. So if Janet were to come out and say she had a baby and she put the baby up for adoption and she has no knowledge who adopted her... do you know how many people would be coming out saying they were Janet's adopted daughter? Even understanding how things were back then as a married women I wouldn't hide a pregnancy. We hear nowadays how getting pregnant was frowned on but I don't think that would have made a difference ppl think too hard and end up making decisions that will come back to haunt them. You're correct. Back in the early 70s you either hid your pregnancy and gave the baby up for adoption or a botched alley abortion. People dont realize how hard it was back then to stay pregnant.
