The thing is, she tried to come back many times, and of course, he put an ex first like he did in the past. His bad decision with Zach made her doubt him
I totally disliked bo during this storyline. I know Hope had left him prior to carley coming back but I don't think it would have mattered if they were together. Bo always had to be the knight in shining armor with his ex's and he always expected Hope to understand & be ok with it. I always thought Hope shouldn't have gone back to live with Bo right away.
I’m with you! I agree with everything you said…I often think that even if Bo and Hope were not separated when Carly returned to town…if they had still been together, happily married, living in the Brady house…I often think that Bo would have still turned to Carly because he played the “hero” role so well…especially when it came to his ex-lovers. The writers were intent on destroying Bo and Hope’s 25 year love story in exchange for reigniting the Bo/Carly romance probably in an effort to boost ratings, but in the process, they really tarnished the integrity of Bo and Hope’s characters, and the storyline wasn’t even a believable one. No way would Bo and Hope, written true to form, have behaved this way or made these out of character decisions.
@@yu2iu Truth. I wasn't watching the show during this time but from watching the clips it looks like only a few short weeks had passed from when Hope left Bo to when he was "in love" with carly again. I saw clips of how Hope tried to reach out to Bo but he basically slapped it down cause of his newly awakened feelings for carly. Even when Hope went to jail Bo talked about it with what seemed more like pity than anything. When he broke her out and they were on the run it was if Bo didn't want Hope to get the wrong idea, that he got her out of prison just to help her out not because she was the love of his life and wanted her back. I despised how they had him reacted to carly breaking up with him, so broken hearted. Then snap...he's back home living with Hope telling her he wants her to come back to their bed. At least they allowed Hope to buy a new bed.
@@michelleabad1874 I had started watching back in real time, but once it was clear where the writers were going with this s/l, I abandoned watching altogether. I’ve never watched this s/l in it’s entirety, and I never will, but I did see many clips years later. Yes, Bo and Hope were separated when Carly returned to town. Carly was seeking refuge in the Brady house b/c people were trying to kill her. Bo/Carly were not initially romantically linked as she was just there for protection. Regardless, it’s hard for a wife to work things out w/ her husband when his ex-lover is bunking in their house. Carly moved out before Christmas to allow Bo and Hope the space to work things out and put their marriage and family back together, but they couldn’t find common ground because although Bo wanted Hope and Ciara home, he was still going to protect Carly and keep all of her secrets from Hope. Shortly after Christmas, Bo slept with Carly and then from there, he moved her back into the Brady house, moved her into Bo and Hope’s bed and began a months-long romantic and sexual affair with her…while he remained married to Hope the entire time and still called her “his wife” when it was convenient. Little Ciara was also very upset that her father had moved another woman into her home. And in a blink of an eye it seemed, Bo was telling anyone and everyone that he was in love with Carly and she was his future. He just pretty much replaced Hope effortlessly. Hope went to jail because she took pills to cope with Bo replacing her with his ex-lover, and the pills turned Hope into an off the rails criminal. 🙄 The writing was beyond terrible. I thought Bo would have been crippled by the fact that Hope was in prison, but I didn’t think he was written that way at all. Aside from the times when the warden would contact him to tell him Hope was beat up in the prison or moved to solitary and he would appear troubled, the rest of the time, I didn’t think he appeared overly distraught at all. Hope went to jail, and Bo and Carly carried on with their affair with Ciara along for the ride as she was then living full time in the Brady house w/ Bo and Carly. I’ve seen clips of the police station break up, and I thought that was ridiculous…horribly written. Bo and Carly in the Bope bed was just ewww to me. You’re right…at least Hope bought a new bed when she did return to the Brady house…how could she ever sleep in the old one? 😖 I always thought that was the worst Bo and Hope s/l ever…
I wish I could see all these episodes ❤
