Thank you for a really helpful lesson. Easy to follow and for me, you have managed to simplify and break down a very beautiful song that I never imagined I would ever be able to play. Great work, thanks.
Thorough, precise, no unnecessay verbage and relaxed ... good lesson. THANK YOU.
Thanks Ron. You're welcome.
Most of the praises I was going to say, have already been said. I'd like though to add that your English is clear and understandable, and that you seem to be one step forward to all the questions an average learner would ask. Thanks from Argentina!!
Thank you for the comment!

Excellent lesson. Best example of this lovely song; you made so easy to follow. I look forward to future videos-brilliant!!
Thanks a lot friend for sharing you knowledge on the guitar with us! Your explanation is awesome. Congratulations from Brazil!!!
Great lesson, thank you.
This was a great tutorial. It's way out of my comfort zone because I usually play more rhythmic style but I should (and will now) learn to venture outside of that easy place I so often find my playing to be in. Thanks for this and for making it so clear.
You're welcome Peter. Glad I could inspire you to do something different. :)
Yes, do it. We all get 10 Fingers (Normaly), lern use them, you will never ever use a plectrum.
LOVE AND MUSIC 4ALL

Thanks, still one of the great acoustic guitar songs of all time.
I think so too Clay. You're welcome.
That was an awesome guitar lesson I used to play drums for the teacher Leroy Wright who taught Zakk Wylde. But since Leroy passed away I've been picking up the guitar a lot lately and learning from wonderful people like you that help me understand some of the stuff Leroy taught me bear in mind I wasn't a guitarist before but I know you're doing it right that's totally awesome and deeply appreciated my friend has since passed away
This is great Dave. I love hearing your story and thanks for the support.
Nice i love this version awesome😍
Best i have seen. Thanks for the gift
Paul Barger Hi Paul, you’re welcome. Thanks so much.
Congratilations from Brazil
I can’t believe that you've only had had 41 comments on this tutorial. This is an awesome lesson and you’ve done an incredible job at laying out the best way to transition to the chords in this song. Going to practice and perform this at a banquet at the end of this month.
Thank you.
John L Thanks John for your support. I’m so glad you like the video and that it will help you with your performance!
every person can give its own level on a song .. and you can play it everytime a little more different easyer or more dificult as you prefere.. I like fingerstyle and play without a plectrum and love to surch my way in plucking strumming hammer-ons and so changing it my way to play.. thanks.. And your making it with great sound and voice
Excellent tutorial. Another fun little accent to add is a D note - third fret on the B string - that makes the Em an Em7, after the line "and you need a helping hand", and other similar locations. Wish I could play this as well as you do. I just need to practice, practice, practice...
Hi Michael, thanks for the comment and suggestions. Yes, keep practicing, that should do it.
I love your commentary!
Very easy to understand!
And your voice is very beautiful!
Thank you! Thank you!
Clear, straightforward. Thanks 👍!
Thanks for watching P Charoulet!
Wonderful. You are an excellent teacher. Clear, concise with enough information but not too much. Thanks
Thank you!
Oops I'm replying from my other channel. ;)
Many thanks, good tutorial, very helpful.
You're welcome Michael.
That was such a good lesson. So glad i watched
Thank you Stanley. :)
Love this video ❤ thanks @quail studios guitar
Hello Inu. You're welcome. :)
Excellent lesson ! Maybe one of the most effective, easiest, sounding presentation of this beautiful timeless song! Playing James Taylor as he does is just to complex and requires long fingers kk, and don't have that but still, this is just perfect demonstration of skills and patience, thank you always
You are welcome, Carlos. And thank you for the comment and warm salutations. Love it!
great lesson ! ON the bridge I like the A7 instead of A , he tends to add lots of 7th even on the Em at times.
I agree. You can play the A7, of course. Em7 is a lovely sound too. If it sounds good play it that way.
Great tutorial takes a bit of practice.
I agree Stephen. This song is one of my favorites to play.
you have beautiful relaxing voice 😍
Very great mentoring. Thank you Sir. I will try.
Very good Cureg. Don't give up along the way.
I love this gonna keep trying, it's gonna take a while for me...I'm a newbie
Hi Joseph, this is pretty difficult for a newbie. You might want to try something a little more simple. :)
Fantastic❤❤❤🎉
Excellent explanation. Thank you.

My friend you are one of the best interpreters and teacher of James Taylor songs on YT. Would love to see a lesson on Mexico by JT. The intro is an incredible rhythmic exercise. The song is not well covered on YT. Cheers!

To Quail studios...i am now your guitar fan...i would like to know how to read those numbers in the guitar strings model such as 0 1 3 3 3 and so on...thanks
@@adolphusschlickenburg7150 Maybe this video will help Adolphus? th-cam.com/video/qUXeUBWYkqs/w-d-xo.html
Start with reading a very simple tab like this one. th-cam.com/video/EB3WvwqTFbo/w-d-xo.html Here's the tab for it. s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/guitar-tabs/twinkle_twinkle.pdf Start with that

Show... #Brazil 2021
Great. Going to practice inmediately. She will melt down at mid song (hope)
Hello José , I hope things are going well for you. How are you doing on this song so far? :)
Since my key is almost the same as that of James Taylor, I don't have to change the guitar code. So I can use this lesson as it is ! I'm gonna do this song in my channel.
Hello, not sure what you mean by "guitar code"? Are you talking about chords on the guitar? Just wondering. It looks like you might have put this comment through a "translator" to come up with the English wording.
Thanks for reply. I mean I can play G code, Not change this song into E or C. I'll upload this song as soon as possible. P.S.I don’t use the translator . Thank you.
@@user-be8hz2dy5m Oh... OK. Good to know. Are you going to upload a video of you playing?
Yes I will. Vocal and guitar. In that sense, this tutorial is perfect.
@@user-be8hz2dy5m Very good. Send me the link and I'll watch it. Thank you.
When you're down and troubled
And you need some lovin' care
And nothin', nothin' is goin' right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend
If the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
Soon you'll hear me knockin' at your door
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin', runnin', yeah, yeah
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will
Now, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold?
They'll hurt you, yes, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, but don't you let them
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin', runnin', yeah, yeah
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will
You've got a friend
You've got a friend
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know, ain't it good to know
Ain't it good to know
You've got a friend
Oh, yeah, now, you've got a friend
Yeah baby, you've got a friend
Oh, yeah, you've got a friend
Thank You very much... I´m brasilian
Muito obrigado pelo seu apoio Claudio.
Obrigado a você pelo talento e musicalidade. Abraços
nice, my first string broke even before i got to play it haha..i'll learn this next time..thanks love the song
Hey Robert, I'm glad you love this song. If your strings are more than 2 months old replace them all.
That's good to know. It's a fresh string lol. It must be the guitar tuner's fault lol. Keep it up! My fav vid that you did is the sons of anarchy song. Loved the rift of that song.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you buddy... you're a good tutor.... the chords is easy but your picking fingers is so difficult to perform ..... God bless
Go slow Magnum and teach your fingers what to do and someday you will be amazing at fingerpicking too.
@@quailstudios thank you so much, I guess patience & determination plus your good method of teaching will lead to success .... thanks a lot again
Kind of playing guitar with kenny rogers right now. I can hear his voice while talking.
